Ok.. I know there are others out there who are TTC and are in need of losing a few pounds. How about if we start a buddy group, we can keep each other on track and at the same time get all of the support we need!
Since no one wants to talk about their weight, I will go first.....
I am 6 foot tall, so no one can ever guess my weight... when they guess they usually say I look about 200... well, when I was 200 I looked skinney... almost gross. Now I am up to 299... I was up to 310. I know that my weight is not healthy. At the same time I look chubby, but not obese.
If I have a dieting partner I do fine. I work out, eat better, and even have a more positive outlook on life. But it is so much harder to do by myself.
My goal is to stay the same weight I am right now through my entire pregnancy. That way I would be losing fat at the same time my baby is gaining weight, so in the long run I would be skinnier after delivery!!!
I talked to my doctor, he is fine with it as long as I eat well and be sure to take in enough to support me and the baby....
So who wants to join me... we can lose some extra fat while trying to get pregnant... if you think about it, it is kind of funny... we are losing weight so in the long run we could gain it back!

Jacque - I will join you. I need to lose weight.
I am 5 feet 5 inches and 185 pounds! I was 165 before I started the infertily meds so not sure if it is the meds or what that caused me to gain some weight!

Cool, Now I have someone to kick me in the a$$ if I start losing sight of my goal!
I wonder if weight gain is a side effect from the meds... when I was on the pill (way back in the day) it made me gain a ton of weight, so I just stopped taking it and we started using condoms. I know that not taking it is not an option for you, but I wonder if there is a different type of medication you can take? How long have you been on these pills?

I was on them for 5 months last year and now 5 months this year, I swear I gained like 5 pounds a month before I was put on the Metformin due to the meds, but the Metformin is keeping me from gaining! YEAH!

I am starting a new program to help me lose weight...but oddly enough that is just a side effect. It is called the "Candida relief program". It detoxifies your body of yeast. It is amazing what can happen after that. Your memory can improve, it can help with depression, acne and all sorts of things. It works by limiting what you can eat for 7 weeks (My sil lost 12 lbs the first week). And then you can go back to eating what you want. Of course, if you want to keep the weight off then you have to eat healthier. Another friend of mine has lost about 70 lbs since she did this a while ago. She is doing it again just to cleanse her body.
I decided to do this because I realized last night that there is one big difference between now and last time I got pregnant. (I had thought everything was the same) I weight 70 LBS MORE...UGGHHH. How did that happen.

Apparently I'm on the oppisite schedule as everyone here, I'm a night internet person....
Anyway, I'm 5'9" and I have Jacque's same guess, When people guess my weight they put me around 200 or just over, I weigh 263 on Friday, (I'm updating my ticker weekly). My rule always used to be that so long as my boobs are bigger than my belly I'm okay, obviously this doesn't count when I get BFP.
I'm doing a "Walktober" program through work, where you wear a pedometer and count steps, My goal is to never decrease in the amount of steps I take for given weekdays, All mondays will increase from the previous monday etc... that way I'm at least moving More every week. I'm also trying to watch what I eat and stop when I'm not hungry any more, I find it helps to have meal times and then 2 sacks (healthy) at work to keep me going, I have to give up soda soon but I'm not quite ready to make that step yet.

Oh yeah thanks sooo much for starting this thread, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out there that is looking to not gain weight after the BFP.
I know this isn't quite a fair comparison, my sister was really sick from prenatal vits for about 6 months of preg... she only gained 7 pounds net and ended up from BFP to delivery losing 25 pounds, then of course breast feeding made her lose even more!!!

I lost my baby weight while bf also, but then when I went back ont he fertility meds I gained it back and more. Thank God the doc put me on Metformin because right now it stopped the weight gain, so I can focus more on losing.
When I start my new cycle I am going to start exercising Tae bo!

Diane: You said that you have the 6 week makeover info, what is that? Can you post the necessary info so we all can see it?
So far we have: Diane, Aalissa, Wannabmom27, michiganmarian, and me posting on the weight loss boards!!
So, how about if everyone shares what they are doing to loose weight and then on Fridays we post our weight and how we did each week. And during the week we can all just turn here for support, to chat, and whatnot. What do you all think?
