Man Jacque, just reading about all your Christmas doings is making me tired. I still have not decorated yet and we don't have a tree. I forgot that I promised my girlfriend that I would watch her 2 year old dd the whole week before Christmas which means that I have only this week to get stuff done like mailing and shopping. AAARGGGHH!! I agreed in August and I am trying to help her out since she got divorced earlier this year and her ex moved out of state and her whole family is pretty screwed up and her daycare provider has all these rules and seems to take frequent vacations (It seems like she takes off at least a week every other month). The thing is that she lives an hour away and I meet her at her work to pick up her dd which is about 30 minutes away but not in rush hour traffic. So every day next week I'm going to have to slog all the way through that traffic to pick up Alyssa. I don't know what I've gotten myself into!! I keep gently reminding my girlfriend that she was planning on putting Alyssa in a daycare center when she was 18 months old so that her childcare would be more flexible, but so far she hasn't started looking. Oh well, I promised to help her out and I will.
I am already in maternity clothes and I feel HUGE!!!! I didn't even really show with Abbie until I was about 22 weeks-so this is early. As far as a belly shot-I don't think so-sorry to disappoint. I'd like to keep covered for now.
Kristina-I hope you were able to find some clothes that fit this weekend. Old Navy's stuff really is cute and affordable. I've found that the stuff at Target is HUGE and I wouldn't fit into it till the very end-at least that's how it was when I had Abbie. So I hope you had good luck.
Jacque-I'm glad you are staying so calm this month. Hopefully this is it!

Amanda: Well, I would ask your friend if there were ANY other options. I know you want to help, but that is alot.... especially since you are just getting caught up from being so sick. Does she know you are pregnant, if so I am sure she will understand. There has to be someone else that can help..... if not, i would have her get up and bring her daughter all the way to your house, at least that would help out with taking some of the stress away..... hee hee about the belly photo, I am such a pregnancy freak, chances are I will not post photos of my stomach either. lol I already look like I am pregnant! I got my self a bit of a chubby tummy!
Kristina: Were you able to find any cloths!
One of my day care kids was just admitted to the hospital, he is only 9 months old.... he has bronchitious... I am so worried about him. He has been ill for a few days now, but it just escalated overnight. I miss him so much, I cannot wait until he is feeling better!
Ok, gotta get back to the kids!

Good morning. Well I feel like a grinch!! I am really resenting having to buy all these gifts for people because I feel obligated to do so (if only my cousins would stop procreating!!!!). The rush of trying to get all this sh*t done is really upsetting me. I just want to have a nice relaxing Christmas. Our house is all torn up because we're putting in a new fireplace with a big hearth and Alex has assured me that it will be done on Christmas eve so that Abbie can hang her stocking and put out cookies and milk for Santa. But for now the family room and the kitchen are a wreck with this project. My mom and her sister had a sort of falling out so my Aunt and her family are not coming for Christmas and my mom's brother is going to his inlaws for Christmas so I won't have a huge houseful of people now. That is okay with me! Now I can just put up a small tree for Abbie and be done! That is making me a little happier. I wish the fireplace project was done though. I need some Christmas cheer because all I feel like saying right now is BAH HUMBUG!! Here is my Christmas wish-I want to sail through the holiday with little stress and lots of sleep-is that too much to ask? I need to go now because Abbie's preschool is putting on a Christmas pageant so I can't be late! I hope everyone is well and is enjoying the holiday more than I am.

PS-Jacque-about your little 9 month old, they often put babies in the hospital when they have a bad respiratory infection as a precaution because babies' airways are so small it doesn't take much for them to be compromised. But generally it's just a precaution-hopefully that is the case with your little guy.

Hi Ladies!!!!
My mom went to Old Navy the other day for me and bought me an extra small, small pants so I can try them on to see which ones fit better. Tomorrow I will see which ones fit and if they do I can order some more pants I can't wait.

Hello! I am here, just super super busy! This was our last weekend before Christmas to get EVERYTHING done. So you can kind of consider it my last ditch effort to get all of my cards out on time, presents wrapped, and meals planned for the big day. I have not read any posts since FRIDAY, which is so not like me! I will be on all day today (well, after I get Kailey to school) and I will be a posting queen.
Talk to you then!

Ok, I am kinda sad right now. A friend of mine just called to see when my next test day was.... it is in 6 days and I am so scared that I am not pregnant. I know it will happen, but more then anything I want to give Mike and Kailey a baby for Christmas. I want to tell them they are going to be a daddy and a big sister. Plus, yesterday was Trent's due date. I know it was not meant to be, and that he was not going to be healthy and that is why I had a m/c, but still...... I am not really sad about losing him, I am sad that I am not pregnant yet... but then again, I could be pregnant right now!!! I hope you are both having a wonderful week before Christmas. It is beautiful here, we have had a lite dusting of snow every day - so it looks like a winter wonderland. We have also been keeping really busy with getting our cards and whatnot sent out. We still have a few more to send out, I hope they are all done by Tuesday in hopes that everyone will get them before Christmas! I am officially in the one week wait, I am only 6 DPO... but I test in 6 days since I have a shorter cycle. If I get a BFP on Christmas Day you will be hearing from me... just a warning... I test early, at like 3am... and yes, I will be posting right away!!! Santa usually comes here on Christmas Eve, while we are at church. I hope that is when he comes this year also. It works out so nice, that way Kailey can sleep in on Christmas Day and then have all day to relax and play with her toys.... We will just have to wait to see when he comes... oh, and for the record, his toys will be wrapped! Mike is on Christmas Break (from school) his finals are over and he has 3 weeks off, then starting on next Monday he has a little over a week off of work! Kaileys gets out early on Wednesday and does not go back until the 3rd! I am so excited. I am also taking 5 days off, so we will have alot of quite family time - which means no meetings, or parties, or anything!!! Other then that, there is not much new here. We will meet our goal for our toy drive. We will collect over 150 toys for 40 kids.. which means all of them will get at least 3 or 4 toys a piece! WooHoo! Tonight I am going to go to the store, Tuesday we have the AOH Christmas Party, Wednesday is the Day Care Christmas Party, Thursday we are ringing bells for the Salvation Army (in the evening), Friday I took the day off and I will be baking with Kailey all day and then in the evening we will once again be ringing bells for the Salvation Army... then Saturday is Church and maybe Santa... and Sunday is Christmas! WooHoo! And my Test Day!!!! I have to go back and read your posts now.... Be back in a few with personals! Jacque

Hello! Well we finally got our tree yesterday-it is so sad. It is definitely a Charlie Brown tree. But it was the best of what was left. I haven't decorated it yet-hopefully some decorations will help redeem it. I am actually waiting until the day after Christmas to get my 12 foot fake pre-lit tree. It's 50% off now-but I'm hoping it will be 75% off after Christmas. Alex says I should just get it now in case they are gone-but how many people can fit a 12 foot tree in their house? I'm betting not too many. If it is meant to be I'll get it, if not, there's always next year. I have spent the morning grouting tile around my beautiful new fireplace. I'm taking a little snack break because this baby let's you know when he/she is hungry! I thought I felt the baby move yesterday but I can't be sure. It was right after I had eaten some chocolate I felt a little bump right under my belly button. It only happened once though-so it's hard to say. Only 8 days until my US! I really hope they are able to tell the sex.
Jacque- I hope Christmas morning brings you a nice gift. By the way-do you have to buy separate wrapping paper for Santa gifts? Because I'm sure he wouldn't have the same wrapping paper as you do, would he? That's why he DOES NOT wrap his gifts. He's a busy man-no time for wrapping!!!
Kristina-I hope you found some pants to fit. If the ones from Old Navy don't fit I'd go online and order their short lengths. I have a girlfriend who is petite like you and that's what she did.

Amanda: Dear God, how awesome is it that you are far enough along to find out the gender and even feel the baby move. I am so excited, you are almost to the half way point, just think, we might know if you are going to have a little boy or girl in less then 8 days!!! How did Abbie's pageant go? Is the fireplace finished? ---- lol for taking a snack break. ---- Yes, Santa uses different wrapping paper, his paper is magic... it does not rip! Kristina: WooHoo for finding tiny maternity clothes! That is awesome news, even better is the fact that your mom bought them for you! I love you ladies... talk to you soon! Jacque

Hi Girls!!!!
Jacque: The pants my mom bought me fit great but I had to get them hemmed so I won't have them back until tomorrow I can't wait. The pants are so comfortable and I really need to order some more on-line because everything else I have is becoming very uncomfortable around the belly area. Good Luck to you on Sunday I'm sure you will get your BIG FAT BFP!!!! Christmas morning!!!!
Amanda: I can't believe you will find out in 8 days I have to wait until Jan 19 which is the day before my birthday I wish mine was sooner. I heard that if you had a baby before you can probably feel the baby more even sooner is that true with you? I just feel flutters nothing more than that yet but I can't wait to really feel the baby more. Does your back hurt you at all mine hurts when I get home from work it's a very annoying feeling?

Hi ladies... I am so glad that yesterday is over! I know that sounds just plain awful, but yesterday was so busy! Yesterday was the deadline for our toy collection, so what did everyone do? Yep, you guessed it... they waited until yesterday to drop off all of their toys. Then I had to sort them by age and gender, once that was done I had to separate them for each child... which is harder then you would thing because I know NOTHING about any of the kids, then I had to wrap them all!!!. Needless to say, our collection went great all 33 of the kids (angels that were not picked from the angel trees) numbers were giving to us... and because our toy drive went so well each one of the kids got 3 - 4 gifts! I am so happy, and I hope and pray that they all like their toys!
Then we had the AOH Christmas Party. We had a SS gift exchange, and believe it or not all 14 AOH members like what they got! WooHoo! I was so excited that everyone put so much thought into their gift! A few of the members got me a gifts, and I was so excited. They let me open them last night (last year they made me wait until Christmas!).... I got an Isabelle Bloom statue, the two disc set of the Christmas Story (which we had on VHS and was total worn out from watching it so much!), a bunch of candy, and 2 snowmen decorations for the house. I loved it all so much!
Tonight I have to get the things needed for Christmas dinner and Mike has to pick up Kailey's last gift (which is a tumbling mat!), tomorrow I have to work and ring bells for the salvation army, Friday I do not work (woohoo) and I have to ring bells for the Salvation Army and then I have nothing at all for four days!!!! I am so excited to have time off.
..... the best part is that I can test in 4 days!!
I will be back in a bit for personals... I got to pick up the house (it is 5:45am right now) - kids will be here in two hours and everything is still a mess from last nights party!

Good morning. I am up early because I have to battle traffic to pick up my girlfriend's dd this morning. This is how it played out. I called my girlfriend to verify that she still needed me to watch her dd this whole week. Then she tells me that she told me the wrong dates and that she needed me Thurs, Fri, and everyday NEXT week. I told her that I was sorry but I have plans everyday next week except Thurs so that would be the only day I could do it. She was like "Oh it's okay I know I gave you the wrong dates" But she's been acting weird and kind of short and snippy with me. I'm the one doing her the huge favor! I'm so irritated. Plus her dd needs a lot of watching-she can't entertain herself for even 5 minutes, and she takes maybe a 45 minute nap in the afternoon (I've been laying down with Abbie for 2 hrs in the afternoon since I've been pg), so I know I am going to be exhausted tonight. I feel taken advantage of. PLUS....my girlfriend tells me she's been dating someone for a few weeks but she's just now telling me-now I feel like she's just using me for the free childcare and doesn't care to include me in the rest of the details of her life. I am probably being oversensitive but sheesh. Sorry for the long vent. I have brought it on myself.
Jacque-I am so glad that your party went so well and everyone liked their gifts. So you wrapped all those gifts from the toy drive? I hope you had help! Christmas day is test day for you! YAY!!! Are you overanalyzing your symptoms yet? LOL
Kristina-Hooray for seamstresses! I hope your pants fit perfectly! I am very excited about my US. I am nervous about the AFP test that I am having the week after that though. Odds are that it will come back fine but it is scary having to wait for the results. Are you having yours done soon? I didn't feel Abbie move until about 18-19 weeks, so this is definitely earlier. I am getting big so fast that someone at work yesterday asked if I was having twins-I hope not! My back always hurts when I get home from work but that's the case even when I'm not pg. On my days off it doesn't bother me-but it's early too-ask me in 3 months!!

Hello,
Amanda: It's unbelievable how our pregnancies are going so great since we both been through m/c not that long ago. I'm still in shock that I'm going to be a first time mom in June and I'm so happy as well is my husband. And you are going to be 2nd time Mom Wow!!
I have a blood test on Tues and Jan 19th I have the Level 2 Sonogram. I will be scared as well for the test results but I'm sure everything will be fine with both of ours. I have Collies Anemia Gene so that''s why I'm anemic but I never new this until know. My husband has to be testing to see if he has the gene but I don't think he does. Do you have anything with this pregnancy that you didn't with the other?? I see you ticker says 14wks did they change your due date??

Hello! Well yesterday with my friend's dd went better than I anticipated. I have her here again today and so far so good-although she is sleeping right now (which for this child is a miracle-she has barely slept since she was born, it's a good thing my girlfriend doesn't require a lot of sleep herself). I heard some really awful news yesterday. I was talking to my neighbor yesterday and she told me that our other neighbors across the street took the life support off of their baby on the 15th and she died quickly thereafter. I think I told you about them-the one's with twins that were born at 30 weeks? The healthy one has been home since October but the other one has had multiple surgeries and complications and she just never really recovered. So my neighbor went to the funeral on Tuesday and said it was just horrible and heartwrenching. I guess all the nurses and doctors attended and it was just really emotional. I really don't know them very well (just their first names and we've talked outside a few times), but I thought I'd send a card and make a donation in the baby's name to the March of Dimes, what do you think, do you think that would be a good thing for me to do?
Kristina-I'm not sure why my ticker said that-I'll be 16 weeks on Saturday. I'll find out if they're going to change my due date after my US on Tuesday. If your DH also has the Collies Anemia gene, can that affect your baby? I just pray that both of our tests come out fine and we can sail through the rest of our pregnancies with ease. As far as this pregnancy being different I was more sick with this one and the other pregnancy problems seem to be coming earlier than in my last pregnancy-like heartburn and ravenous hunger. Otherwise I'd say it's about the same. I'd also say that I'm about as big now as I was at 6 months with Abbie-I'm hoping that trend won't continue or I'll be HUGE at the end!!!
Jacque-I hope you are enjoying your much needed time off with your family.
Merry Christmas girls!!! I hope you both have wonderful holidays filled with love!
Amanda
