sorry I haven't been around. But I assume you all read the headline. We found out we are having a girl. We can't believe it. My mom is thrilled, her 1st granddaughter to go along with her 6 grandsons. The shock is finally wearing off, and getting more and more excited. We even bought baby bedding and here it is if you would like to see: www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Section_Id=14184&pcount=&pn=&Product_Id=354990I need to go back and read, but wanted to update you so the posts wouldn't be huge!

Diane-Your bedding set is very cute! Lots of lavender, I love it. My baby's nursery is yellow and lavender and I've had the hardest time finding things that aren't pink to match her room. Your picture is too cute-you definitely have that pregnancy glow! Being off is great (although expensive, since I have so much more time to shop). I literally bought 100 baby hangers today (those were cheap, thankfully-97 cents for a pack of 10). I have saved every article of Abbie's clothing for the last 3 years and I'm now trying to sort it. I think I have room for the clothes up to 18 months to hang in the closet (since I had DH hang another closet rod in there over the weekend).
Jennifer-So glad you joined us. If you hadn't Alisha would have hunted you down. That first appointment is always exciting-but definitely underwhelming once it's over since they generally can't hear the HB yet. But sometimes they will do an US for you-I hope that's the case in your Dr's office.

Kris-That's good that baby is low! Too bad you're not dilating yet-but soon! Did they give you an estimate on how big they thought the baby would be?

Amanda,
Well the doctor said probably 6lbs because I'm measuring small. The baby is measuring 2 weeks behind her due date but she still is in normal range. I had 3 non-stress tests already and 2 sonograms and everything looks good. I have to go once a week for a non stress test know.
Remember I'm 4'11 and weighted 109 pds before I got pregnant so the doctor said you will defentlyu not have a big baby which is fine. I guess the doctor is being caustious.
Did they tell you what size yet of your baby?

Hello ladies! Sorry I have been a slacker when it comes to posting here. I am going to start catching up while I have a bit of free time... what I do not get accomplished today will get done this weekend because other then Church and Special Olympics practice we have NOTHING planned! WooHoo! I get to relax!!!!
Before I just sat down I was cleaning up the baby's room.... it gets messy because we use it as a place for one of the day care kids to sleep in his playpen... I went to leave the room and I was drawn back in... I started looking at all of the little outfits we have and started to get that "soon" feeling. It has been a long time since I had that.... it was nice to feel that way again, that soon I will be pregnant. I would love to find out I was going to have a baby before this Christmas!
I wonder who is going to go first... Amanda or Kristina!!! The race is on ladies, either of you could go at any time now! You better start checking in every day, if not we might think you went into labor!
Amanda: Your ticker baby is in the last box. I am so happy for you! Soon we are all going to be seeing Lexi's first photos and hearing your birth story!!!!! It is hard to believe that we have been talking for over a year now. That is just crazy! As the risk of sounds all mushy and junk... I wanted to let you know how much your friendship means to me. It is nice to know that you are here for me no matter what and I love the fact that I know you will be able to follow my pregnancy just like I was able to follow yours! --- I am glad the baby showers went well, house cleaning!!! What a great gift! I would love to see some photos if you have any you can post. --- I am also happy that you are done with work, it was nice that they cut you some slack and let you skip the last couple of days! --- Thanks for the compliments on Kailey's photos! I think she looks sooo perfect in them. Soon I will be able to post photos from my cousin's wedding, she is gonna look like a princess in her JR Bridesmaid dress!!!! --- So, is your computer up and running? --- How is getting ready for Lexi coming along? Is her room done? What about your bag, is it packed? The car seat in the car yet? Are you going to have a gift at the hospital to give to Abbie from Lexi? --- 100 hangers!!!! I love it!!!! At least you are keeping busy and not just sitting around waiting for baby to come!
Alisha: Thanks for the compliments on Kailey's photos, your right... she is beautiful, I think she gets it from me. lol --- WooHoo Yesi is potty trained! I have potty trained 11 kids and holy cow I have used a million different methods trying to get them to go... it's like hey, whatever works! Has she had any accidents since you last posted about her progress? ---
Linda: I know I told you this on the Illinois board, but I think you look fantastic! I love your little blue tshirt, that is sooooo cool!
Kristina: I had cramps on and off in the ninth month when I was pregnant with Kailey.... your body is getting ready to give birth. Talk to your DR, they might want to do a non stress test, but it is just as a precaution. WooHoo for being almost to the finish line! I am so excited that within a month we are going to see photos of Sara!!! --- Congrats on the new family member! I bet Olivia Rachael is just perfect! --- Kailey was 4 days early, but then again they were ALWAYS changing her due date! --- WooHoo on the baby being so low!!! AAARRGGGHHH I am getting so excited!
Jennifer: I am glad you came over her on your own, now Alisha will not have to hunt you down and drag you over here! I have said it a zillion times, but I am so stinken happy for you!
I love you girls!!!

Hi all! Just came home from my doc's appt. Everything went well and I am dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced. Cramping has been worse today. So hopefully Lexi will be making an early appearance. I like Memorial Day weekend for a good time to have a baby. My doc said that she's about 6lbs right now and babies gain like a half lb per week from here on out so hopefully she'll be in the 7 lb range by delivery. Crap, I just heard a crash from Abbie's room-she's supposed to be napping-talk later! Amanda

Amanda: That's great that you are dilating already I wish I was . Last night I started get those cramps again but when I woke up this morning they were gone. How funny would it be if we had our baby's the same day like Katie Holmes and Brooke Shields!! Jacque: I promise I won't forget to post everyday so your girls won't think I went into labor unless it really happens. I think I read that AF showed her ugly face I'm so sorry . Hopefully after the summer you will be more relaxed and just get your BFP without charting or anything. Good Luck to You. Kristina K

Amanda: You are starting to dilate! WooHoo Lexi!!! Come on down!!! Kailey was 8lbs10oz.... she felt huge, yes I agree a 7 pound baby sounds just perfect! Memorial Day, sounds good to me. I will be in Ohio then, but I will check in daily to see if there is any news. --- About the crash you heard In Abbie's room... was she ok? Kristina: Do not get discouraged, Chances are Amanda will go before you because her body already has done this once before. In fact she could be dilated to one for WEEKS (something we do not want to hear but we all know it is true). With Kailey I was Walking around dilated to four and completely effaced and still not feeling contractions in fact I did not have any until the DR induced me and broke my wather... which I almost had to beg for!!! --- The time will come soon enough, I promise!!! Hi all. The crash was just a care bear tea cup breaking (what a stupid present for a 3 year old-SANTA!!!) and one very sheepish little girl who was supposed to be asleep but was up playing tea party instead trying frantically to get back in bed before Mommy came in.
Jacque-I was dilated for a while w/ Abbie too without any contractions-but hopefully since I've been cramping that's a good sign. My doc also said she could feel the baby's head pressing on my cervix so I will be doing lots of walking up and down the stairs to take advantage of that.
Kris-Soon enough your baby will be here-if she's really going to be only 6 lbs you may want to wait awhile so her clothes will fit when she's born! LOL That's what surprised me the most w/ Abbie-her clothes were all too big for a few weeks-and she was 7lbs 8oz.

Amanda: Are you also going to try having tons of sex and spicy food too? --- What the heck was Santa thinking? You know the fool brought Kailey one of those when she was 3 too. lol You think we, I mean he, would know better. Jacque
