Hi all!
Linda-You look beautiful-GLOWING!!!!
Kris-Sounds like your body is practicing for the real deal. Drink some water and rest when you get cramps and see if that helps. As long as they're not getting stronger and closer together, I think you'll be fine.
Jacque-Kailey's pics are beautiful!! Sucks about your internet connection. Did you have a good weekend?
Alisha-No prob about the valium advice-I'm telling you-you won't care what's going on if you take some valium first!
As for me-my boss's boss came through the unit on Friday and said if my doc wasn't going to take me off of work officially that I should call in sick for the rest of my shifts, so I will. It's only 2 more days anyways-so no more work for me!!! YAY!!! Alex's boss threw us a shower over the weekend-it was very fun but typical of her parties-lots of food and lots more alcohol. Although she gave me the best present on earth-a gift certificate for housecleaning. I can't wait for someone else to get down on their hands and knees to scrub the tile. I need to put Abbie down for a nap (and me too!)-so I'll talk to you later!

Hi ladies! I am here just having a heck of a time catching up on this thread, it seems like every time I go to post here something comes up. At least the weekend is just a few short hours away and I will be guaranteed some "me" time. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I have not forgotten about you and I will post my usual novel within a few days!

Hi girls, I have some exciting news! Yesenia is finally potty trained!!!!!!!!!!! It has been 8 days and no accidents...pottying that is. She still won't go poopy though. I told herI was going to put panties on her and they had princesses on them and she loves princesses...so I thought of an ingenious plan!!! I told her that if she goes pee pee on the princesses that they would get mad at her! Can you believe it worked...8 days later and no pee pee. She's even woken up dry 4 days in a row now. She still wants a pull up to go poopy in, but I think that's gonna' be out the door too soon. Today she asked me if the princesses would get mad if she went "toot" in them. Isn't that funny! I told her no, but no poopy! I also told her that there was a "Potty Bunny" just like the Easter bunny and that he brings gifts when little girls fill up there potty bunny charts with X's. She totally bought it and she is putting the X's in the box and everything. She is so awesome! She's hilarious. I also got her to quit sucking her thumb by telling her that there is a thumb suckin' monster that watches out for little girls sucking their thumbs when they aren't in their beds. I said she could only suck it at night in bed b/c that's when the thumb suckin' monster is sleeping. To be sure that she didn't get scared, I told her he only comes around if he sees someone sucking there thumbs. It pays to have a gullible daughter...she comes by it honestly. I'm the most gullible person I know. Take care all, Alisha

A quick note to Alisha-good luck with the potty training! It has been a very long 16 month process in our house, and I don't really consider it over since she is still wet every morning. My kid is stubborn-and she's very skeptical, so the stuff about peeing on the princesses would never work. Some kids are easy to potty train-mine has been hard-so count your blessings!!!

Hi girls, Kris-Congrats on the new family member. I can't believe you only have 4 weeks to go. How are you feeling? Amanda- My daughter was NOT easy to potty train by any means either. She was doing great at 2 1/2 years old, and then when she found out that I was pg, she majorly regressed and developed chronic constipation...which we are still treating her for. So, we are THRILLED with her success. I worked on getting her potty trained for almost a year. I can't believe the princess thing worked, but boy am I glad it did. Alisha

Hi ladies! Well the shower my neighbor threw on Saturday was much more baby-shower like than the one thrown by DH's boss. Typical games and baby horror stories and all that. It was fun, and the best part was that I didn't have to go far-just next door! I had some out of town relatives and friends show up which was nice to be able to see them. AND-my MIL did not make it after all-TOO BAD!!!!LOL There were 2 negative people at the shower who said hurtful things but I'm just going to blow them off and think of all the other wonderful things that happened. Mother's Day was nice-I got breakfast in bed and flowers, DH completed a VERY LONG honeydo list (while I supervised), and then we had dinner at my folk's house. Oh, and I had a long nap too-which was great! This week I am in the process of trying to sort through all the baby clothes and get them all hung up in the closet by size, and I'm washing all the newborn clothes and blankets, towels, washclothes, etc-all that stuff. I still haven't packed my bag for the hospital or put the other carseat in the car-so I have a lot of things on my to-do list. I can't wait for it to all be done because then I know that this baby is really on her way!
Alisha-Sorry, it sounded from your post that it had only taken 8 days to potty train Yesi. It sounds as though you've had as much trouble as I have! Abbie regressed when she first learned about my pregnancy too. It got to the point where they said she wouldn't be able to go to preschool anymore if she continued to have so many accidents (she would have 2-3 while at preschool, and she's only there for 3 hours!!!) They're really good about changing the kids, but they are supposed to be potty trained prior to starting preschool. Once her teacher and mommy and daddy sat down and let her know that she couldn't go to preschool if she were going to have so many accidents she improved almost immediately, in fact, I think she may have had only one accident at preschool since then. I'm afraid we may go through another regression after the baby is born-I hope not.
Kris-So glad to hear from you! You sound like you are getting so excited about your baby! Are you still having any cramping? I have my first internal exam on Friday-I'm excited to see if I am dilated any, because I am ready to be done with this pregnancy! Although I was dilated for like a month before I had Abbie, so it may not mean anything if I am-but I can hope!!
I hope everyone else is well-we'd love to hear from you.
Amanda
PS-This is posted as a guest b/c my regular computer has been out of service for like 10 days, SIGH.........

Hi Kris-I hope your appt went well. I've been having off and on menstrual type cramps for a few days. I didn't have any sort of cramping at all until I went into labor w/ Abbie. She was about a week early. I'm hoping this baby will be about 2 weeks early-I'm ready to be done w/ this pregnancy and meet my girl face to face! We'll see if I'm dilated any on Friday.

I was going back and forth about weather I should do personals first or if I should go right into what has been going on here..... it has been a while since I have filled you all in so I will start with me. Just a waring, I am posting this in all of my buddy groups so it might sound a little "generic" but that way I will have time to get to personals.
I caved and looked at my chart... today is CD 28, so if AF is going to show then it is going to be tomorrow. Part of me wants to test, but the other part says no.... so I will wait and see. Maybe I will wait until Friday to test that way I would be late. We did not baby dance much this month, we did the day of O and the day after.... but this is a hard month for us with the anniversary of mom's death and the m/c so we kinda just went with the flow.
I am not going to start charting again until after the summer is over. Work is super busy for me over the next few months, and if I do not chart it will be one less thing I have to keep track of. I know my cycles are normal and regular so I do not feel the need to chart as much. I will keep somewhat track of where I am at just to be sure that I am getting some sweet lovin in at the right time... but that will be it until after August. If we do not have a BFP by then I will chart for 3 months and then go to the DR to see what is next. At that time we will have been TTC for one year after the m/c (that is figuring in our "break").
I am completely finished with my Day Care inspection and license renewal, and I passed EVERYTHING with a 100%!!! I have NEVER done that before and needless to say I am so thrilled and at the risk of sounding cocky and arrogant (which I sooo am) I am very proud of myself and the kids!!!!
I am also back to exercising and losing weight (as of last Wednesday), I fully plan on being the rock for Alisha while she is taking off her weight also, she and I will be total weight loss buddies.... and anyone can feel free to join us. I am going to start a weigh in thread so people can cheer her and I on. Anyone who wants to join us can. I know that we have about 5 ladies that will be popping babies out soon... I hope by the time they are ready to start losing weight then Alisha and I will be about halfway to our goal.
Lets see...... there is only 7 more days of school and then it is finally summer! I cannot wait to have the kids here all day every day, but it will be busy. We are taking two vacations... one is next week we are going to Ohio for my cousin Aimee's wedding and I am soooo excited! Kailey is in it and she is going to look beautiful! We are also going to see PEARL JAM on the 29th of next month!!! As most of you know I have two totally insane obsessions... first there is Harry Potter (jen, what book are you on now?) and second is PEARL JAM!!!!! They are playing with Tom Petty so I am sooooo excited. It is going to be fricken awesome!
What else...... oh, my friend Kim was in the hospital, I am not going to retype all of the details, but I have a tread about her in the Prayer Request if you wanna check that out. She is getting better... but still in need prayer!
Girl Scouts is also going good (it has replaced the AOH) we had our second meeting last week and our next meeting is just right around the corner. I love working with the girls and they have so much energy... it is great. I know that this is going to be alot of fun and plus I have a great co-leader... she and I are going to be really good friends, we are soooo much alike.
Last but not least, my Special Olympics team is going to STATE!!!! WooHoo! Over half of our athletes qualifies and I am sooo proud of them. They have had such a great year and have worked so hard in practice... they so deserve this, I only wish they all could go.
Oh.. one more thing, I have some new family photos. I will post them for you to see... then Jennifer is going to make me an awesome siggy so I can display them all of the time.
Ok... time for personals! I am so happy I was able to get on the net today, I thought I was going to have to wait until tomorrow!!!

Hi girlies Amanda and Kris.....................you guys are getting SO STINKING CLOSE! You must be so excited. I remember being this close. Maybe you will have your baby early Amanda...especially with the cramping. I so know how the two of you feel, but just remember...it will be over before you know it, and then it is just beginning. HOw long are the two of you taking for maternity leave?

You are NOT going to believe what happened here yesterday...... Remember how AF was supposed to show on CD29, she always shows on CD29.... well, she was a DAY EARLY! So today is already CD2, what do you think of that! The thing is... that is not the only strange thing that happened...... All of my day care kids left early, it was coincendental..... and a good thing too. Because shortly after the last one left I went out back to take out the garbage. I look up at the sky and I can see this total downpour up north... I can actual see the drops of rain, it was so pretty but very weird. Then from the SOUTH it start heading toward us too, and hard there was so much rain and it was coming from every direction. Then we hear this HUGE crack and the neighbors tree was struck by lightning!!! Can you believe that, holy cow the tree fell over on the power lines so the entire neighborhood was "humming" and there was this horrible blue light coming from the lines...... the windows start shaking and the power is surging. I run upstairs to unplug the computer's surge protector and send Kailey and Jennifer (my assistant) to the basement.... then the Tornado sirens start going off. We go downstairs and then within about 5 minutes it is all over. We come up and then it is just chaos outside. There are trees down every where.... all of the neighbors are outside trying to figure out what was going on..... wow it was awful, but really neat. Then we all go look at the tree that is causing the trouble on our block. It was hit by lightning, and ALL of the birds that were in it were lying on the ground dead.... I assume the lightning. To top it all off the news people were here from the Quad Cities.... I went inside at this point, I did not wanna be one of those hillbillies that were on the news... you know the ones, I am sure you have all seen them. It seems that whenever they show someone from the neighborhood that something happened in that person ALWAYS looks like a hick, it does not matter where they are from. lol Anyway, that is why I did not get back online..... the good thing is that out of all of the HUGE trees that are down, NONE of them hit a house. Not one, THANK GOD because that would cause a ton of damage. Anyway, Gotta get Kailey ready for school. Jacque

Hi ladies! I am awake at 4am, AGAIN! Just my body's way of getting ready for sleepless nights when the baby comes, I guess. I have millions of errands to run before I am ready to have this baby. I hate running errands w/Abbie so I have to try to squeeze them in while she's at preschool. I was telling one of the other moms that I wish preschool were 4 hours instead of 3-I could get a lot more done w/ one more hour-oh well. I have no patience lately and Alex has been working looooong hours, so poor Abbie has not had the nicest mommy in the world. She just wants to help-but after she's knocked all the folded laundry off the bed for the billionth time, I just lose it. I'm hoping to get all my sh*t together and just have a few days to relax with her before the baby comes and give her the kind of attention she deserves.
Jacque-OMG! I'm so glad that no one was hurt. What an exciting evening you had. I'm glad you were just busy and not withdrawing-we haven't heard from you in so long. It sounds as though you are going to have a busy summer. I think if I were you I would do the same thing and just focus on losing weight and think about TTC in the fall. It will happen. Who knows, with all your summer plans you may forget about TTC and get your BFP anyway! That would be perfect.
Alisha-I am getting close and I'm getting anxious. I just want the baby to be here so I can start my journey to normality. I am planning on taking at least 3 months after the baby is born, maybe more if we can afford it. Plus I have to find a nanny before I can go back to work. I keep begging my dad to retire early so he can be my nanny-but so far he hasn't budged. Maybe after he sees his new beautiful granddaughter he'll change his mind-I can hope, can't I?
Hey girls-didn't Jennifer get her BFP, maybe she should join us here? I'm sure Alisha will hunt her down like a dog and make her post on this board (LOL).
