To keep Buddy Groups from getting to long, we lock the old thread and start a new one. You can still go back and read from the old thread (they are located in the Buddy Group Achieves), but will need to post on this one from here on out. Happy Posting Thanks Jacque

Amanda: I did talk to his mom and dad about it.... and they were wonderful, they said everything that they were supposed to say and even talked to Calab and told him not to talk about TTC with me anymore. I am so glad they took it that seriously! --- I understand about wanting to work longer... but to not over due it. The last think you want is bed rest, at least if you take off work early it will be on your terms and not on Dr's orders. --- Day Care.... yep, it sucks having to find someone you trust with your kids, that is why I started taking care of other people's children..... so Kailey does not have to go to day care. There are a bunch of GREAT child care providers out there, and a few psychos also... lol. That website sounds GREAT I love the fact it works like a dating site. Plus you are in a big area so you have alot more options then we do here. I hope you find someone that is perfect, great with the girls.... and charges a fair (if not very very inexpensive rate!) --- Alisha: Thanks for cheering for me. But AF is here!!!! CRAP SOMEONE IS AT THE DOOR........................... I will finish this in a minute.Jacque

Ok ladies.... here is my plan for the next few cycles. I am not going to chart, take OPK's, use my ferning scope, temp, check CM, CP, or even keep track of what cycle day I am on. I am going to have sex only if we want to and only if it is fun. That way I do not have to always have my CD day and that in the back of my head during for-play. lol When I go in for my annual in June I will bring the charts I have (about 10) and tell him that he can just look at those if he needs charts..... lol. Then I will get his input on weather or not we need help. If he says no, all looks good then I will trust in him and the lord and leave it at that. If he says we need testing or meds.... well, we will have to think long and hard before we make any decisions. I am NOT against them, I just want to be sure that we are both ready to go that route before we do. I am not bitter.... I am actually excited about TTC this way. Alisha: Now.... where was I.... Oh, thats right.... I was gonna open a can of whoop ass on you because we still have not seen a photo of ABRI!!!! --- I am glad you are finding the assistance you need when it comes to breastfeeding, but remember..... you are doing a great job and you are a fricken awesome mom. So if the time comes to stop just know that you did your best! Heck, you have done a heck of alot more then 90% of moms I know! Diane: Thanks for the prayers..... I will get a positive soon... who knows, I might have the first Chatter Box baby of the new year! Kris: Where the heck are you? ? Jacque

A quick note-I am off to a doc's appt in a few minutes. Jacque-I like your new TTC attitude, that may be all you need is a change in attitude, less stress. I have my fingers crossed that it works!
I am talking to my doc today about when to go off on disability, I kind of hope she says I need to go off now so that I don't have to stick out the next 3 weeks, but I'd also like a nice padded bank account before Lexi is born. It doesn't matter-I will make it whatever happens. I'll try to post more later.

Amanda - what did your doc say today? Jacque dang AF! I like your TTC plan, but I would try to BD every other day around day 12 on, but wouldn't stress if we missed a day. Had another doc appt, looking good, h/b 130

Diane: I am glad your appointment went well!!! Have you taken your son to one of your appointments yet? I was just wondering if he has heard the heartbeat yet.
Amanda: How did your appointment go?

Hi all. Well I'm a bit ticked cause my doc said to hang in there for the next 3 weeks. She's never been pg so how does she know what it's like to waddle around on your feet for 12 hours? Oh well, I guess I really was wanting to be taken off of work. I took Abbie to my appt-she was so not interested in hearing the baby's HB. I thought she'd just be fascinated, but no. I wasn't disappointed though, 3 year olds are supposed to be self centered, right? Holy crud, I experienced the WORST heartburn EVER last night about midnight. I literally thought that my insides were liquefying, it was awful. I haven't had as much heartburn with this baby as I did with Abbie, but last night was intense. I am so ready to deliver this baby, 37 weeks is term right? That could be only 4 weeks away-that would be nice, although I doubt it. Alex's boss called me earlier this week to tell me that she was throwing us a baby shower for all the folks at Alex's work. She said she's been nagging Alex to tell me about it for like a month, but of course he forgot (typical). She was calling to make sure I didn't have plans that day since she had already sent out save the date emails. I didn't have any plans so that was fortunate. Her home is beautiful and she throws really nice parties-so I'm excited. Although most of her parties do involve heavy drinking-we'll see what she does for a co-ed baby shower.
Diane-I'm glad all was well at your Dr's appt. I always feel better when I hear the HB, even though at this point I feel the baby move all the time.
Jacque-I am working on the nursery today (hopefully) and I will try to send out some pics for you. There is still nothing on the walls (hoping to remedy that soon), but I'll send pics when it's completely finished too.
Alisha-I hope breastfeeding is going well, let me know!
Kris-we are worried, I hope you are just too busy basking in your pregnancy glow to post.
Love and sticky babydust! Amanda

Amanda: I know that you wanted to be told to stop working, but can't you just put yourself on early leave. I mean, can't you just tell your boss that work is becoming to hard and you really need to cut back? I know the extra money is nice...... but so is relaxing. --- A baby shower! How awesome is that!!!! It sounds like you are going to have a ton of fun.... plus it will help time fly by. So, when is the shower? --- Did you end up getting some work done on the baby room? Are you definitely going with the name Lexi? --- Sorry that Abbie did not get more excited about hearing the heartbeat, but when you think about it..... it is just a "noise" to her... she is really to young to completely understand what is going on. I mean she knows that you are going to have a baby and that she is going to be a big sister... but right now that is all just talk. It will not sink in until the baby is born..... heck it is like that for some parents also, sometimes they just need to see the baby to know how real it is. All is well here, AF is on her way out (already) and I took my last 56 pill today.... I will keep taking the folic acid and centrum... but other then that I will be doing nothing special for TTC. I hope it helps me relax a bit! My friend Kelly had an u/s last Thursday.... they saw the heartbeat and she is now about 7 weeks pregnant. They brought me a copy of the u/s photo so I could see my new day care baby! I am so excited!!!! Anyway, I am gonna get some things done for this weeks Girl Scout meeting (this will be our first one!!!)... I will talk to you all later! Jacque

Hi Ladies sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I'm doing great and so is the baby. Just counting the days until I deliver my baby girl. Me and my husband can't wait until we meet our little girl. I think I'm getting into the nesting stage because I haven't felt this good since the beginning of my pregnancy. My mom is throwing me a baby shower this Sunday I can't wait. I'm so noisy because I keep going on my registry everyday to see what items are coming off. Me and my husband are going to Lamaze Class on May 7th. Were doing 9:00 - 4:45 because my HB is very busy at work so it's better for him in one day. Has any of your girls gone for Lamaze Class and it helped them through Labor? Amanda: How are you feeling? I can't believe we have only 7 wks to go. Jacque: I'm so sorry AF keeps showing her ugly face she is being very stubborn huh!!!!! If I could I would wish AF away for you so you can have another baby but I can't so keep trying and I know it will happen. Lots of Babydust, Babydust, Babydust. Alisha: How is he baby doing? When are you going to post a picture of the baby I can't wait to see her? Kristina K

Hi all! Doing okay today (although it is RAINING still), I need some sun! Same old tiredness keeping me from doing what I want to do. It's like I get up to do something and 10 minutes into it I think "Man, I need to lay down, I'm so tired" I've been sleeping 9-10 hours at night and then also laying down while Abbie naps for about 2 hours in the afternoon, and I still feel like just crawling back to bed. A few times I've even put on a movie for Abbie (love that electronic babysitter) so that I can take another nap on the couch before dinner. Alex is sick w/ a sinus infection right now and he is a typical man-total baby, and I really just don't have energy to take care of him and me and Abbie. My folks came over last night and brought dinner so I didn't have to cook and they want to take Abbie next weekend so I can have a rest-I am so lucky.
Kristina-I am glad that you are doing so well. Pretty soon we will get to see our babies' faces! I never took Lamaze but I did take another birthing class w/Abbie, it doesn't matter what they say-it is still going to hurt no matter how you breath, or get massaged, or climb in the tub or whatever. I like drugs, drugs are good. I didn't have an epidural w/Abbie but if they would give me one now I would take it, LOL. Have a wonderful shower-I was like that too, checking to see what I got on my online registry, it's just natural to be curious-plus they make it so easy to spy!
Jacque-Unfortunately I work under an employment contract that does not allow me to go off of work when I feel like it-I have to have a medical certification by a Dr. If I really wanted I guess I could just call in sick for my last 6 shifts (yes, I am counting down!), but that would be a pretty rotten thing to do. Plus calling in sick 6 times would place me on a "disciplinary pathway" that could lead to my being fired while out on maternity leave. So I will stick it out for the next 3 weeks (less than that now). I am lucky that the state of California will pay for my disability starting 4 weeks before EDD and for 6 weeks (8 if I have a c-section, still not worth having one) after the baby is born. Then I can take up to 12 weeks of paid bonding leave after my disability is over-yay California! This is a new program (the paid bonding leave) that started in 2004, so I had to take unpaid bonding leave with Abbie (that was a REAL strain). So once I'm off, I'm off for like 5 months. I am having 2 showers-the one thrown by Alex's boss is on May 7th and the one thrown by my neighbor is on May 13th. I feel a bit guilty having 2 showers, esp. for a 2nd baby, but they weren't my idea-plus I love going to baby showers, so I assume most people do too. Ditto on the thing about parents needing to see the baby to make it real-I'm like that. It won't feel real until we get home with her I think, at least that's how it was w/ Abbie. Yay for you taking it easy on TTC the next few months, I think it is going to be so good for you!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous day-I'm going to go try to get at least my downstairs picked up and presentable-we'll see how it goes.

Hi girls,
Okay, okay before ya' all chew my head off for not posting the pics like I said, I have a very good excuse. Ha ha! No, seriously, look, they are here now so ya' all can see em' finally. The pic of Yesi looks really warbled! I promise that my daughters mouth and arms aren't smeared. Aren't my girls the cutest? Okay, I'm in bragging mode now. Okay, as for the excuse...I ended up in the Doctor's office for over 4 hours last Friday...the day I was going to post the pics. I woke up with TERRIBLE pains in my stomach and then I started getting the chills and aches and pains everywhere. Anyways, to make a long, long HUGELY long story short, I have a post-operative uterus infection...sucky and EXTREMELY painful. I'm doing much better now though b/c the Doc perscribed me a pain killer. I ended up bawling my eyes out in the office though b/c they told me that I had to stop giving Abriyel my milk for a minimum of 14 days and suggested that I stop permanently. The Doctor was the sweetest lady in the world and she totally sympathized with me. She said, "Don't worry, breast feeding is over rated anyways." She didn't really mean it, but she was trying to make me feel better. It turns out that they think the reason that I got the infection in the first place is b/c my immune system is so down from all the stress I've been under with my struggles with b/f. Anyways, I won't bore you with all the details, but basically I had to have a urine test, a blood test, a pelvic exam and an abdominal xray before they figured it out...oh, and I also have mastitis!!! Aren't I a mess. Anyways, it was really hard to take at first and I was EXTREMELY depressed for a few days, but I'm feeling a little bettre now. I did the absolute best I could for Abriyel, and that is all I can do. I'm glad you all have been so supportive of me though!
Diane- I'm glad all is well with your baby. Wow, only a little over half way left for you! Hey, when are we finding out the sex?
Amanda- Thanks for the advice about the Reglan. That's funny that you emailed that message. I actually quit taking it after only a day. I got to thinking about how it said that it was intended to empty your stomach quicker and I thought...hmm...sounds like a terrible case of diarrhea waiting to happen to me...so I stopped. I appreciate all of your advice about b/f. It has been a terrible stuggle for me...and I thought this time would be different. BTW, I didn't smell like maple syrup, which surprised me b/c I was taking 9 per day instead of 6 b/c I was trying to increase my milk even more. I'm glad to be done with that though, b/c it was making me get terrible headaches.
Kristina- I'm glad to finally hear from you. You should have a fun time at the baby shower. I love showers and that's funny about the Babies R us site. I did the same nosy thing. Ha Ha!
Jacque- I'm sorry about the stupid bitch af showing her ugly face. I hope that your new plan works for you hon. I'm so anxious for you to get that bfp and I'll continue keeping my fingers crossed sweety! Maybe you will have the first baby of the new year after all.
Take care girls, Alisha

The Doctor was the sweetest lady in the world and she totally sympathized with me. She said, "Don't worry, breast feeding is over rated anyways." She didn't really mean it, but she was trying to make me feel better. It was sweet of her. I'm feeling a little better now, but it was tough to take. I tried the best I could for my little angel, but it just didn't work. Anyways, I had to have my blood and urine tested, have a pelvic exam and an abdominal xray before they found out that it was an infection of the uterus. Oh, and I also have MASTITIS! The Doctor told me that she thought I should stop b/c she thinks the reason I got the two infections to start with is b/c my immune system is down due to all the stress over trying to breastfeed. Anyways, I appreciate all of your support..this has been tough.
Diane- When are we going to hear about the sex?
Amanda- Thanks for all the advice. I actually had taken myself off of the Reglan b/c I thought it would probably cause me diarrhea. I was only on it for a few days. I didn't end up smelling like maple syrup, which is surprising considering that I took 9 per day instead of 6. I tried so hard...sad face...I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Kristina- Hey girl, it was good to hear from you. I think that's funny about the registry...I did the same thing.
Jacque- I'm so sorry the stupid bitch af showed her ugly face. I hope the new pplan works and you have the first new year's baby.
Love, Alisha
