Apparently Santa is deranged and out of his mind because he is always doing stuff like that! Yes to lots of sex, no to spicy food (I already have enough heartburn as it is-are you crazy?!)

Amanda: So have the squats and sex fest had any effect on your contractions? When do you go in for your next appointment?
Kris: How are you feeling?
Where the heck are all my preggos?

Well the cramping is the same-off and on. Poor Alex has worked 16 hour days for like the last 12 days in a row-so no sex for now, the man is just too tired to do much but sleep while at home. I have a doc's appt this afternoon, so we'll see what they say. I actually don't want another internal exam, so maybe I'll have her check me again next week-it's only been 4 days since my last appt. and nothing too exciting has happened.
Jennifer-I hope you are feeling a bit better, just think, only like 6 more weeks to go of this part! The only thing that helped me was lying on the couch and praying not to die (or praying to die, depending on how bad I felt, LOL). I promise it will get better, but you'll have to go through the rough part first.
Jacque-The nursery is DONE!!! YAY! Guess how many of the 100 hangers I have left? 3, yes that's THREE. And I could only fit the clothes up to the 6-9 month size in the closet, I packed the rest away in plastic bins and they are now residing in my closet. Poor Lexi will be the hand me down queen until she's a teenager, I'm afraid.
Well I got my bag packed (sort of-I still need to pack the camera and I'm looking for a pair of pants I wore earlier on in my pregnancy to wear home) and tried to get the infant carseat in the car (but it was all dirty so I had to wash the seat and stuff-I thought I had done that when I packed it away, apparently not). So today it should be all dry and then I can put it in the car. I sterilized all my breast pump parts and washed all the bottles and nipples-I think I may actually be ready for her to come! Now that I'm all ready she'll take her sweet time and be a week late! LOL (OH LORDY, I hope not, I can't go that long).
Have a great day ladies!

Hey Ladies!!!! Everything went good at the doc visit this afternoon. The doc tried to feel for her head but couldn't feel it so hopefully that means she is in my pelvic area getting ready to come out. How can I tell my mom nicely to stop calling me a hundred times a day and asking the same questions its getting very annoying . Does anybody else have a mother like that? And also she calls when I'm in the doc office and at the hospital hundred times. My husband is ready to say something to her if I don't. I ques she thinks I won't call her that's why she calls me so much. Amanda: How did the doc's go? Kristina K

Kris-I would tell your mom that you will call her once a day with an update on how you're feeling, and if that changes drastically you will give her another call. I'd call in the evening so you can also give her an update about how your doc's appts went and all that, get it over in one phone call. Explain that you know she is excited and concerned about you, but you will not leave her out of the loop. Lastly I'd tell her that her constant phone calls are disturbing your rest, and you definitely need your rest right now. That's what I'd do. I'd also use my caller ID and not answer when she calls, and I'd turn my phone off when I was at the doctor's office or hospital. I think if you did all that she might get the hint, although, she is a mom, so maybe not, LOL. My appt was fine, she did want to check me again, and I was still 1cm and 50% effaced. I didn't really expect a change, it's only been 4 days and I've just been having those mild cramps. I did have a very vivid dream that I was in labor though, and I used to always have a dream that I started my period 3-4 days before I actually did, so maybe it's a sign, or maybe not. I need to get dinner ready, talk to you later!

For all my preggos: As for the constant phone calls about your progress and when the baby is coming: We used our answering machine. Every evening I would update the outgoing message so it would have what was going on it went something like this...... "Unless you happen to be a telemarketer then chances are you are calling to see if Kailey has yet to make an appearance. We are super excited too, but as of today at 3pm she is still snug as a bug inside of momma. At my appointment today I was 3cm and 50% effaced and still feeling no contractions. Please leave a message and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.... but as you know being this pregnant and getting ready for baby can be tireding, so we spend most of our extra time sleeping! Thanks for thinking of us!" THIS WORKED WONDERS! We were getting about 40 calls a day during the last 10 days and it was awful. Only a hand full of those callers left messages, and the ones that did usually just said messages of encouragement and love. It was great! I highly recommend this method. You just need to be strong and NOT answer the phone.... Believe me, over time it got really easy to ignore it. Plus when baby come you can leave the info on the machine and baby updates... that way once baby is home you do not have to worry about the phone either. Kristina nd Amanda: YOU ARE IN THE TEENS!!!!!! Holy moly you are going to have babies within 20 days!!!!! I am so excited. Now go take some photos of the babies rooms! I wanna see the final touches! Amanda: You did better then I thought you would, I actually thought you were going to have to buy more. You know..... Lexi is going to have to chance her clothes twice a day or she is not going to have the chance to wear all of those outfits. --- I am glad you are almost ready, I remember how exciting it was to have everything ready... it was this HUGE sense of relief but at the same time I was like OMG baby is coming SOON!!!! --- When is your next appointment? ? Linda, Alisha, and Diane: What all do you have planned this weekend? Jennifer: Keep telling yourself that morning sickness is a good thing. You are over halfway done with your first trimester and then hopefully it will come to an end. I miss having you post all of the time! Just a heads up......I might be MIA for the next several days. This weekend is my Cousin's wedding in Ohio. Kailey is the Jr Bridesmaid so we are leaving here on Thursday so she can be part of the decorating, rehearsal, and all that jazz. She is so excited (and so am I)!!! I have a new sassy little black dress and Mike is wearing a suit, the wedding party is wearing floor length purple dresses....so needless to say the Komnicks are going to look fricken awesome, I will be sure to post photos when we get back. Anyway....I will try to check in as much as possible... my cousins understand how I am with posting on the Chatterbox because 3 of them post on here too. Jacque

Jacque - have a great trip. no weekend plans. DH wants to see x-men 3 but sitting in a crowded theater just isn't what I have planned for a good time Amanda and Kris - can't wait until your little ones arrive. I thikn JAcque had a good idea about updating on your answer machine. I usually tell people the day of my doc appt but not the time so I dont' get harrassed, and I say I will call you with info when I can. and if my cell phone rings I dont' answer it. If you do, you are only reinforcing the behavior. if she stops getting what she wants, she will finally just wait to you let her know. Jennifer - sorry the m/s has hit, try to keep drinking that water and eat several small meals a day instead of big meals and that should help a little!

Thanks girls for the advice I will let her know how I feel . She thinks that when the baby comes home she is staying at my house for a week (Don't Think So). I went for my NST yesterday and everything was fine with her. I also had a sonogram again to see if she grew from the last one. She is still measuring 2 weeks behind but she is growing and weights 5lbs 15ounces. The nurse thinks I won't make it until 40wks for some reason. Who Knows Right!!!!! Kristina K

Hi girls, I'm sorry I've been mia. I have a VERY GOOD EXCUSE though. My computer has completely shit the bed. We are trying to get it fixed, but if Serge can't fix it, I will only be able to check in every couple of weeks or so b/c I have to make a trip to do it. I really hope he can fix it...he's something of a computer wiz, so I'm hopeful.
Amanda-You are hilarious! I did track down Jennifer and tell her to post, she just did it quicker than you did. Ha Ha! I wasn't going to let you get away and I'm so glad I didn't b/c you post as much as anyone, if not more. I'm so excited for you...it's getting close! Try and get in as much relaxation as possible, b/c two is SO MUCH MORE WORK than you can ever imagine. I'm sure that you will love it as much as me though.
Kris- Don't despair, you could go into labor any time. I had a Doctor's appt. the day before I went into labor with Yesi and he told me, "Well, if I had to guess, I'd guess you're in for at least another week or two of this." I went into labor the next day, and had her two days after he said that. I was not dilated at all, and no effacement when I was in his office, so don't feel bad.
Linda- What's this about you might not be having a girl now? Need an update...I'm confused. I don't believe it...after all, you belong to a group of ladies that all had girls. Diane- It's good to hear from you. I'm so happy for you that you are having a little girl.
THIS IS AN ALL GIRL BABIES WEBSITE LADIES!
Jennifer- I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. I hope you get better really quick you poor thing. I know...it sucks! If you're really sick, I'm guessing it's going to be a girl. I hope you want one, b/c if not, this group of ladies will jinx you for sure. We're all having, or have already had as is my case, girls! Take care sweety!
Jacque- I'm so glad that you escaped harm in that storm. YOu must have been freaked out! Thank God all the kids weren't there! I'm sorry that af is here again, but like you said, you weren't stressing on it anyways, so you can relax and try some more. I will post more to you on our other board.
Hope I didn't forget anyone!
Take care, Alisha

HI again, I forgot...
Update on me: I HAVE ALREADY LOST 10 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 POUNDS IN 10 DAYS! (That makes 26 pounds since I had Abri.) I am completely freaking out! I have always done well on low carb diets like Atkins, but I gain it all back. After I had Yesi, I went on the South Beach, which if you're not familiar with, is not low carb or low fat, but right carb and right fat. It ends up being a lot lower carb than I normally eat though! I started it on the 16th, and haven't cheated even once! I'm pumped b/c I'm also just finishing up my period, when I'm usually retaining water. I feel great, and am eating plenty too. I don't feel deprived at all at this point. I just had to share that info with you girls, b/c I'm so excited! Oh, my first nephew was born, FINALLY! My poor sister in law was a full 14 days overdue, and they had to induce her. It only took 8 hours for him to be born though. He shocked us all b/c he was 9 and a half pounds and 20 inches long HUGE! My sister in law is only about 5 foot 2, and maybe 110 pounds soaking wet (before pg./) WE couldn't believe it! HIs name is Sebaztyan (I bet you can guess that I suggested the "Y") and he is adorable!
Abri & Yesi update: Abri is doing great. She's so funny...she is already a little flirt and a little stinker. She gives us these funny little warning grunts that just make us crack up. If she's starting to get hungry, she gives us this frustrated sounding little grunt and if we don't get the bottle to her quickly, she lets loose. Now shes' starting to give us the warning grunt when she's just pissed too. Like if Yesi is making noises while she's eating or something...what a little force to be reckoned with. I just adore her! Yesi is doing fantastic as well. She's still doing awesome with the potty training, accept that now she goes poopy on the potty too. It has been three weeks now with no accidents. I think we are home free. I'm so proud of her. She's such a big girl now and such a fantastic help for me. She does everything for me. She is even starting to ask me if she can do dishes with me. Tonight she washed the salad for our dinner. What a little princess. I feel so lucky to have two beautiful girls! What a blessing.
Freaky story... You know how I have 7 brothers...well one of them, Joey (18) ended up in the emergency room last week with massive stomach pains which I guess he's been having for like 3 years, and hadn't told anyone. Well, they found on a CAT scan that he had a bowel obstruction, but weren't sure what it was. So, they sent him in for a laproscopy, and next thing we know, they are rushing him in for major abdominal surgery. He was in the operating room for 4 hours! THey had to cut him from sternum to groin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see, when he was born, he had a diaphragmatic hernia, which caused all of his organs to be resting on his lungs. He almost didn't survive. Anyways, they had to shove them all back inside of him, and I guess over the past 18 years, they have all grown together. So, the Doctors had to cut them all apart and sew them back up again and put them in the right place. The funniest thing happened when I was talking to him after the surgery. He is EXTREMELY skinny, and has been his whole life. No matter how hard he tried, he could never gain an ounce. Anyways, the Doctors told him that it was because his food was never able to be absorbed properly and that's why he was so skinny. So I told him, "Well you better be careful b/c now you're gonna' get chubby." He started to laugh and then I said, "Hey, maybe I could have your Doctor do to me what he just undid for you, and then I'll be skinny." He just busted up laughing. Thank God he was on a ton of morphine. The poor baby will be in the hospital for 7 days and will miss his graduation from high school. That is such a bummer, but more for us than him. He didn't even really want to walk, but you know his mom and I wanted to see him graduate.
That's all for now. If you girls don't hear from me for awhile, just know that I"m thinking of you. I really want Serge to get the computer fixed, and he's literally working on it as we speak. We are in his classroom, and he is on another computer talking to a tech support guy for Macaffee. I really hope it is fixed before Amanda and Kris have their babies. YOu girls had better still post here after you have your babies. I know you won't be able to as often, b/c life changes immensely with a newborn as we all know, (well, maybe not Kris yet...but you will soon.) We still want to hear from you girls though.
Take care girls, Alisha
