Jacque-Sorry AF showed. By the way, what are Combos?-I have no idea.
Kris-I posted to you on your belly pic post-too cute!
So I did end up getting called into work yesterday to take a patient from the operating room-she was fine-totally stable. I felt guilty for making time and half for the little amount of work I ended up doing! Oh well, the unit was busy with other stuff so I was able to help out the nurses who actually had sick patients. Since I got called in I didn't get any work done on the nursery-hopefully today I will, but I need a nap first. I keep waking up to pee in the night and then it takes me like an hour and a half to get back to sleep. Oh well, it's my body's way of preparing me for the sleepless nights to come. One of the nurses at work is out on disability since she had surgery and she has a lot of time on her hands so she made me the most beautiful baby quilt. She even made a miniature matching quilt for Abbie's dolls. I get so choked up when I think of all the time that went into this gift. I don't know that I can express it in words to her how thankful I am that she took so much time with it.
Well I am off to la la land since Abbie just went down for her nap. Talk to you soon!
Love and sticky babydust! Amanda

Hi girls, I'm back...well kind of. I'm still in pain from the surgery, so this won't be too long. Jacque- I'm sorry about AF. That really sucks, but maybe you will get that December baby and have your angel send you a gift from above during the month that he would have been here. Wouldn't that have been wonderful? Congrats on the weight loss by the way. That's awesome. You're halfway to that point we talked about that Doctors say makes a huge difference when TTC, remember, 10% weight loss. Amanda- Thanks for the congrats. It is so wonderful having two girls. Yesenia absolutely adores her baby sissy. I'll email more about it later. Kristina- It's funny that we all seem to be having girls on this board. Well, we don't know yet about Diane and LInda, but wouldn't that be crazy? Jacque too. Diane- Thanks for the congrats. I love the baby girl name we picked out too. Linda- I agree with Jacque. You should post here more often so that we can get to know you better.
Now for what you all have been waiting for... the birth story. Well, that is until Abri wakes up. I may have to tell you part of it now and part later. We went in at 7:30 am on Friday and were so excited. I was thrilled to see that I hadn't gained any weight in the last two weeks so I stuck to the 47 pound weight gain. Ugh, but better than 61 like last time. Anyway, they took me into a l&D room and asked me about a gagillion questions about the surgery that I was about to have. They started prepping me and I met my anesthesiologist...who was

They started prepping me and I met my anesthesiologist...who was AWESOME by the way. When it came time to go into the operating room, I walked down. That was WEIRD. Anyways, as soon as I walked in I was MORE AFRAID THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE. I wasn't expecting that since I've already had a c-section, but last time I was in so much pain from having been in labor for 31 hours and pushing for 2 that I passed out when they wheeled me in and I don't remember anything about the room. I was terrified to see all the equipment and hear all the noises. I started shaking out of control, but luckily I had 6 wonderful women in the room with me (and 2 men.) My DH couldn't come in until after the anesthesia kicked in. Anyways, all the women nurses and Doctor were so incredibly sweet and kind. They were real young and just fantastic people. They were all excited b/c we didn't know the sex. They said that is VERY rare nowadays. Anways, they started making bets about what the baby would be and they all thought girl, except for my doctor. Anyways, the anesthesiologist started to insert the spinal block, and had to try three times b/c my spaces are so tight. Last time, they had to try way more than that. I had a LONG talk with her previously about my spinal headache last time, so she was really careful not to let that happen. (I had a spinal headache that lasted for 10 days and had to have a surgical procedure called a blood patch done to get rid of it. The anesthesiologist said that this is very rare, only happening in 1 out of 100 births, so I should't worry.) Anyways, oops, Abriyel just woke up...I'll tell you the rest later. Sorry to keep you in suspense. Love, Alisha
