Alisha: I can't believe 3 more then you will see your little baby WOW. to you if I don't come on the board again this week. I want to hear all about your labor and see pictures of the new baby. Will you still come on the boards after the baby is born? Kristina K

Kristina: I am glad you posted again today! WooHoo for passing the Glucose test... that is always a relief!--- As for you registery... I was searching for New York... not New Jersey, it would help if I had the correct state. I will go check it out right now..... I figured it out!!! AND I LOVE WHAT YOU REGISTERED FOR!!! I am so excited that you are already to this point in your pregnancy!!! I have the Aquarium Bouncer, and it is wonderful!!! You are going to love it. --- As for breast feeding, I HIGHLY reccomend it, but it is not for everyone. It is good that you are taking the "we will see" approach.

ARGH!!! I hit refresh again before I posted and lost everything I typed!!! So here's me in a nutshell;Well, I had my glucose tolerance test today (yuck), had protein in my urine at my docs appt last week so I will have to be monitored slightly more closely, registered at Target today cause it is right next to the lab. We didn't start on the nursery last weekend cause Alex worked 16 hour days all last week and he really needed to just rest. But I have this weekend off too so hopefully we will be able to work in there then.
Jacque-I am so glad that your chart looks good! I have my fingers crossed that this is the month. You should be commended on your weight loss-it's really hard to lose weight. I don't want to hear anymore about these skinny preggos who are barely gaining weight (LOL). I am having some issue with the amount I have gained (19 lbs so far), but I still have almost 3 months to go-I don't know that I will be able to stay under the 35 lb mark. But I did find out that you can join weight watchers even if you are breastfeeding as long as you get a Dr's note, so I will be there after my 6 week checkup!
ALISHA!!!!!! I am so excited for you. It sounds like your body is starting to get ready to go into labor if you're having diarrhea and all that. Maybe tonight will be the night!!! I will be surprised if that baby holds out until Friday! I know they prob told you no sex cause of all your preterm labor, but that's what did it for me with Abbie-10 minutes after we were done the contractions started coming every 2 minutes and didn't stop until she was born.
Kristina-I'm glad you passed your glucose test. With your small weight gain I'd be really surprised if you ended up having gestational diabetes.
Linda and Diane-you are both rounding out the first trimester, how are you feeling?
As for breastfeeding-I have a lot to say. I BF Abbie exclusively for 3 months until the boob juice started to go dry. I became a desperate woman trying to increase my supply by taking supplements, pumping at all hours of the night and day, finally I ended up with a prescription that increases milk but also can have psychological side effects like feelings of suicide and the like (I luckily only had psychotic nightmares with it, and extreme fatigue). I know that BF is best for babies, but for those of us who want to, and for whatever reason can't, it is absolutely devastating when you can't do it. There is a lot of pressure nowadays to BF. I didn't even get good support from lactation consultants who were sort of like "Well, the pumps dry, I guess you'll have to have a formula fed baby......" Like I was the worst mom on earth. So I did all those crazy things and wracked myself with guilt and stuck with supplementing with formula until Abbie was 8 months old-and when I weaned her-it was the BEST FEELING ON EARTH!!! No more craziness. No more breastfeeding and then bottle feeding and then pumping and taking drugs. I was totally exhausted! So this time will be different-I will BF until the pumps run dry, and then I will have a happy, healthy bottle fed baby. No guilt this time. So this is just me on my soapbox-I love that so many people BF their babies, but for those who can't (for whatever reason), I do not fault them or look down on them at all. Sometimes I think in the medical community we push for something so hard that we tend to overlook that there are other options, and that it's okay to choose another option. So Kristina if BF works out for you-GREAT!!! If not, there are way worse things to worry about than having a formula fed baby.
Love and babydust to all!!!! Amanda

AMANDA!!!!! I just realized that you are in your third Trimester! Holy cow that is amazing.... --- I was looking at your registry on Target.com. I love being able to do that, it makes you and your pregnancy seem more "real". I know that might sound silly, but all to often when I picture you it is from that photo in your siggy... you are always wearing a wedding dress! lol --- As for your weight gain, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT! It is not like you have gained 50 pounds so far, you are doing great. And when the time comes I will be there to cheer you on when it is time to lose it. --- As for breast feeding, I understand your point of view 100%. I am sorry you had to go through that, and I hope that you will not have to experience that again. Like my mom used to say, if you cannot breastfeed it is not the end of the world, it is not like the baby is going to starve, or you are not going to bond.... the worst that will happen is that you will have to wash more bottles. Alisha: I forgot to answer your workout question... yes, I am still working out during the TWW BUT I am only doing one workout instead of two and I am taking it down a notch, that is why my weightloss is going slower. That and my appetite increases so much this time of the month, I will have to be careful or I will be gaining before I get that BFP!! Kris: Happy Third Trimester!!! Two down, one to go! Diane: Happy Second Trimester! One down, two to go! Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh!!!! Look at my chart... my temps went up AGAIN today! How is everyone doing?

Hello all, Wow, I had a lot to catch up on. Here go the personals, then I'll post the generic...
Jacque-I'm getting excited too. It's hard to believe we've been friends for so long. I will send you a picture of the kiddos through email to your ambassadors box. Excellent news on the temp rises, I'm sooooooooo hoping this will be the month. It's funny that you mentioned that egg, b/c I was going to ask you what it was. I've never heard of an "eggie." Does it have something to do with ttc? I think it is good that you are holding off to test until Monday b/c we know 9dpo is pretty early. I will be so excited to know that we were pregnant together after all. As for the sex, yes, they recommended that I hold off for 6 weeks, but we didn't quite make it last time. I'm planning on having sex tomorrow night, to hold the poor guy, not to mention the mommy, off for the next month or so. It's a tough 6 week wait...you think the two week wait is tough, no way compared to that!!! Ha Ha! I will answer the b/f question in the "generic" message...ha ha! Diane- That's great that you are planning on b/f your baby for a long time. I have a friend that is still going strong, and her little one is 2 1/2! You're a lucky bum for losing weight...not me. I gained a ton! Kristina- Yes, I will continue to post after baby gets here. I want to see what happens with all of you...plus I want to brag. Ha Ha! That's great about your sugar test. I was really worried about mine b/c I am overweight and have gained a lot this pg, but it was really low. My blood sugar and blood pressure are always really low. The last two times they did my blood pressures they've been like 90/56. That's LOW! It's always surprising to them b/c they just assume b/c I'm overweight that I will have high bp, but that's not always true.
Amanda- I'm glad you passed your glucose test too, but it sucks about the protein in the urine! I had it in my urine 2 weeks ago, but then it just disappeared the last two weeks, so maybe that will happen for you too. I can totally relate with you about the weight gain and the breast feeding issue...see my message below.
Okay, to make all of you ladies feel better. During my first pregnancy, I started my pregnancy 60 pounds overweight and gained an additional 61 pounds!!!!!!! So, after I had Yesi, I had 120 pounds that needed to be lost. I did pretty well, b/c I lost 81 pounds (43 of them during the first two weeks after I had her!!!!!!!) , so I'm sure I'll lose the weight I've gained this time again. However, this time, I've gained WAY more than I wanted, but not as much as last time. I've gained 47 pounds!!! So, now don't you all feel much better?
As for the breast feeding question...I TOTALLY relate with Amanda. I had a terrible time with b/f. I exclusively b/f for 2 weeks, but when I went in for my checkup, I found out that I had lost 43 pounds, and Yesenia had lost about a pound since she was born. I didn't have a very good lactation nurse, b/c she told me to stop b/f b/c I had toxins in the breastmilk...she didn't even tell me that I could just pump and throw the milk out until the toxins were gone. So, I beat myself up terribly for two months, and then finally when Yesi was 12 weeks old, I found out about relactation. I went through a month of pumping every 2 hours for 30 minutes, taking extra supplements and all...only to result in more heartache. My milk never did come back. So, Amanda, I totally agree and can sympathize with you. I'm going to give it a go too, but I'm not beating myself up if it doesn't work. Take care everyone, The woman who is having a baby in 30 some hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't tell I'm happy can you?

Alisha: I just read your response to Kristina, and damn strait you are going to post after the baby is born. You are stuck with all of us... there is no getting rid of me now! --- We did not wait the six weeks either.. I think we waited about 5 and that seemed like an eternity. Well, it is official, less then 24 hours. I hope you are able to get some sleep tonight. I am going to miss you while you are gone. Take care and be sure to rest as much as possible. If you have to choose between rest and posting a quick "hello" I want you to choose rest. --- I will constantly check my email starting at noon on Friday. I know it will take your mom a while to get the email sent, but I want to post the information as soon as possible because I know that everyone will be waiting on pins and needles to hear all about how you are feeling and if you had a boy or a girl. --- Well, this is the last time I will be posting to my dear friend Alisha the mother of one beautiful Yesi, within hours you will have two children! Good luck, labor dust, and tons of love. Great... now I am crying again.

A quick note for Alisha!!!
Good luck and happy baby dust! I can't believe that tomorrow you will get to hold your baby in your arms. Try to stay calm, I don't know how you girls who schedule your delivery can sleep the night before!! I can't wait to find out if it's a girl or a boy!

Alisha - good luck today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amanda - I wanted to add just because you had some problems b/f #1, doesn't mean you will have problems with #2. My Best friend, fed her 1st for 6 weeks, and like you the milk supply was so low and baby was cranky so she tried everything but had to stop, #2 and #3 no problems at all. so I hope that works the same for you.
