Do you know how to load your last known good configuration? What version of Windows do you have (i.e. 2000, XP Pro, XP Home)? Nope, and we have Windows XP.

Okay, thanks Diane! So far we have safe mode going and we are running the virus scan to see if that will help. I could see my files I want to save, but have no way to save them, because when I put a cd into our dvd rom it says there's no disk. Hmmmm... Anyway, will talk to you again tomorrow!

No, we put it in safe mode, ran the virus software, it found some things, but it's still doing the same thing. Is there anyway to save all our pictures? I can get to those files in safe mode, but when I put the blank cd in the d drive it doesn't recognize it. But yeah, it's still loading to the desktop but we can't do anything on the desktop. I haven't looked at the restore settings yet, but will let you know.

This is what Mike is getting his degree in, he is now a senior (woohoo he is almost done) and has taken current classes on this....
If you have the ability you can run the Panda active scan, it is free, highly reliable but you need to get online. Windows has a good malicious software tool you can use too.
I just read the post to Mike and he said bring it to a PC technician, a real one... not one that works at someplace like Best Buy. He said the more you mess with it the more damage you can cause. He said if it were here he could do it, but he will not tell me how to do it over the message board because he does not want anything worse to happen.
He did want me to ask, what kind of virus software are you running?

Norton antivirus. Yeah, we have someone we can bring it to, but we wanted to try to do it ourselves before we pay the money.

Diane: You are in the home stretch!!!! less then two weeks to go. Is everything ready? Are you feeling any changes? Linda: Whats up with your computer? Any luck? --- I swear your ticker has said the same thing for the last couple days.... exactly how far along are you today? As for me.... I have been feeling much better, just sleeping alot. My next appointment is in 15 days, and then my u/s is a week after that. I want to register for my shower and start buying clothes... but that will have to wait until we find out what we are having, right now I have way to much gender neutral stuff! Jacque

JAcque - glad you are feeling better. Linda - glad your computer is running again!
This weekend, I noticed my feet, ankles, hands were swollen, so I ended up calling the doc today. since that is a sign of high blood pressure they had me come in, was worried since I had some protein in my urine last week. Took 3 bp's today and all were normal,s o not sure what is going on. wierd pg symptom, sign doing too much (which I don't think I am), or labor sympton??? But when checked still no progress and she is still pretty high. so next appt is the 12th and we are to discuss options at that appt.

37 weeks today!
How you feelin Diane? Anything happening yet?
Nothing here. My doc appt was Wed. and he checked me, but nothing is going on. Doc had the u/s results and said everything looked great, just big baby. He also mentioned the report said the belly was a little bigger than the rest of the body, any idea why? He didn't seem concerned, but you know me!

I love the fact that it is finally September!!! We are going to have two new babies by the end of the month!!!!!! So much for having Labor Day baby..... do either of you "feel" any progress? Diane: I was looking at the calendar, you only have 8 more days. I bet you are about ready to jump out of your skin. I pray that when you go in on Tuesday you have some progress. I just read about all of your swelling, has that gone down at all? Linda: I love all of the photos of Luke, especially the one of him and his girlfriend. How cute is it that he has his arm around her.... did he do that on his own? If you make it to your c-section date, the longest wait you will have is 16 days. 16 days, that can go by really fast or sooo slow. Do you have enough at home and work to keep your mind off of things so you are not thinking about Isabelle all of the time? As for me, I have a ton of Internet catching up to do. I fell behind this week because I spent the majority of my free time typing up my Maternity leave notice to all of my day care parents. That way they all know well in advance what my plans are when it comes to leave. I will be taking about 4-6 weeks off, unless I have a c-section. Which I am praying that I don't! I am feeling better, have not puked all week. My next appointment is in 9 days, and within 9 days from that I will have my big ultrasound..... so, within 18 days I will know if I am going to have a boy or a girl. Mike and I were talking about finding out the gender again yesterday and Kailey walked in. She told us that we are going to find out (we keep changing our minds) and that is all there is to it. She said she can not handle all of this back and forth about finding out the gender. Then she told us that our third baby's gender can be a surprise. Nice to know that she has it all figured out for us. Well, we had a soccer game to go to yesterday at 8am then at 10am we had a football game. Then Kailey and I took down the crib we have and put it in the attic with the other one we cannot use. So now we have two cribs in our attic that we do not have all of the parts for. We have not done any shopping for baby lately, so my guess is that we will hold off a bit longer and not even look for a crib (or anything else) until after we know the gender. So, we will be registering for a baby shower, buying for baby, and Christmas shopping all during the months of October, November, and December. I think we will be gone almost every weekend!!! I hope I can handle it, I will be kicking myself if we have to do it all online. Fantasy football also started this week, we now have a 12 team league, and I am still the only girl. Now I am the pregnant girl, I guess it will make it all that much more humiliating for the guys when my team kicks their butts. So far this week I am winning (because the opening game between Pittsburgh and Miami was on Thursday) so I hope this is a sign of good things to come. Mike and I both play on this league (it is a group of his friends) and the super-bowl winners gets 300$ and the other team that makes it to the super-bowl gets 200$, considering that baby is due right around super-bowl time it would be really nice if one (or both) of us made it to the big game this year. Anyway, I went on long enough. I have an easy week this week so I hope to stay on top of things better then last week. Especially since I am hoping to see some baby action out of one of you! Jacque
