Oh, and my doctor called me today to tell me some results from blood tests I had in the hospital. Apparently I have a gene mutation that puts me at risk for a blood clot! I couldn't believe it! He said that's probably the reason for my m/c's. That's nice to know now, after 5 losses, and now we're done having babies! Oh well, at least we know I can't be on any hormonal birth controls, although DH was going to get the snip anyway. I'm going to ask him if he thinks I should have a baby aspirin a day for the rest of my life. Oh, and I wonder if I can test my kids for this? Like did I pass this on to them?

Linda, I am so glad that you finally know what was causing all of your losses. I just wish that we discovered this years ago. You know, since you now know the cause you could prevent more losses and have just one more...... --- I would definitely ask about the baby aspirin and having your kids tested. You can save them alot of heartache if they know in advance that they might have this issue too (especially Isabelle). -- I sent Diane a card the other day, I hope she gets it and checks in. At least if it is only to tell us that all is well but she is not going to post anymore. I just hate not knowing what is going on. --- The little video is adorable, and Ilove the photos of the kids! It looks like your little man had a great time. What were the Trick-or Treat hours where you live? Here they went from about 5-7, so it was alot darker here then it was when you took your photos! --- How much longer are you going to be on leave? It would be great if you did not have to go back until after the holidays! Jacque

Happy Halloween everyone. hope everyone had a great night. Jacob was Thomas the train, and had a blast. wish it was a little warmer
Ms. NAtalie kept losing weight, and was down to 7 lbs 6 oz.
Sorry haven't been around, been busy with Natalie, doc appts 3 times a week is hard. since she started to gain and then quit around 7 lbs 13 oz, she almost had to be admitted to the hospital. she got blood work done and urine tests ran on ThursdAY. we were at the hospital for 6 hours on Thursday and 2 on Friday. they couldn't start a cathetor and then she wouldn't pee in their bag to collect urine, but finally we got it. tests are looking good so far only a high lactic acid which could signal a high metabolism. but not all in yet. my poor baby had to get 7 vials drawn so starting last Wednesday I have to pump and then bottle feed to document how much she is getting. On Monday she was 9 lbs 2 oz, so it is working. Eric and I are thinking she is just lazy nurser, so between pumping feeding I just don't get to the computer much. and now it is acting funny so I hope it doesn't die on us yet, around tax time it can
Sorry I am not caught up at all, will try to read thru posts quickly to make sure I didn't miss anything big.
Also my sis from VA came for a little and had a blast visiting her
Linda - sorry you have a gene disorder, hope your kids don't have it. cute pics, I need to find the time, posting now while Natalie is on my lap eating.
Jacque - I would never leave you guys!!!!! and thanks for the card
I have my 6 week check tomorrow and I am nervous I am still bleeding and it is still red, hope nothing is wrong with me now. Just can't wail until thins calm down

LOL Jacque!!!! Thanks I hope things are getting better here sp I can post more,
I logged on before but was hard to see Linda's cute big baby when I didn't know what was wrong with mine, so I logged off. that was when she kept losing and losing after trying to supplement and everything, went to the doc and was told she is failing to thrive, just a bad day.
But she is getting bigger and hopefully healthy things are better now.
Linda - very cute pics!!!!!!!!! I love your little ( or not so little) flower. Jacob is starting to get into Star WArs - daddy is a huge fan!!!!!!

Diane: I missed you so much. I am so glad you checked in, I have been worried sick. It seems like pregnancy is making me crazy and I seem to come up with a worst case scenario with every worry. It is just insane. --- Yes, we had a great Halloween. It was cold here too. We were home by 6:30 and it was only 35 outside then. BURRRR!!!! --- Holy crap you have been going though alot with you precious little girl. I am so glad she is finally gaining weight. I hope that you only have a little while of pumping and keeping track of how much she eats. --- With Kailey I bled for about 4 weeks, then I had two days of not bleeding and then it started again..... I called the Dr and he laughed. He told me that it sounded like I had just started my period. Then ran some test and that is what it was!!!! I hope your appointment goes well!!! Maybe all of the stress has something to do with the fact that you have not stopped bleeding? Ok, gonna catch up on my email now... gotta take advantage of the fact that the kids are being so good! yeah, I am not sure, I would think I wouldn't have started my AF yet because I am BF, with JAcob I didn't start until 10 months later. weirder things happened But who knows, I am sure he will run blood work - or that is my guess.
And when I said I had a hard time looking at Linda's pics, I hope I didn't offend, I just reread my post I just meant it was hard to see a baby that was supposed to be what Natalie weighed, just made it hit home how small she really was.
She was tiny, but is my big girl now.
Jacque - how is the pg going??? Hope you are having better weeks then I have had. just hard to really enjoy her when it is so much work and worrying. then with all the time I am spending pumping, feeding, doc appts, etc.... Jacob is showing signs of jealously, and that is hard,. one minute he is cute with her then the next is wishing her away. sad, just want things to get into a routine so it is easier on all of us.

Diane: I did not think anything of your comment about it being hard to see Linda's baby.....in fact I completely understand. My sister is going though the same thing. Even though Alex is almost 3 months old he only weighs 9 pounds. Well, you and I know it was because he was a premiee...... he was 3 pounds when he came home, so he has tripled his weight since birth. BUT so many people make comments about how little he is compared to other babies his age. She just hates it. Like I tell Meghan... feeding and everything might be hard for a month or so, but when you compare that to their entire life span then well.... a few months does not seem that bad. I know it sucks, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. I promise!!!!!!! ---- Well, each passing day I feel more secure and happy about being pregnant and less worried. I swear for the first 20 weeks all I did was pray that I would make it and that my baby would be born healthy. Then I hit the halfway point, that was a huge milestone. Then 24 weeks.... wow, a huge weight was lifted.... now my next "goal" is 28 weeks. I know once I hit 28 weeks that even if baby is born he will have a good chance of being just fine. I think that most of my worry stems from losing Trent, but now pre-term labor seems to be my concern and I think that is because of my sister and Kelly's experiences. The thing is I have no reason to worry. My weight gain is OK, I am no longer sick, I have had no complications, blood pressure is perfect. I think it is just that I am already so in love with this little baby that I am just scared out of my mind that something will happen and he will be "taken" away from me......

Diane - I'm sorry my pictures upset you. As for bleeding, I still am too, although it's brown and stinks real bad, I hope I don't have an infection. My 6 week PP visit is Wednesday so I'll find out then. This has been going on now for 2 weeks, so I hope it's nothing serious. Well, I guess if I need a hysterectomy or something it's a good thing we're done having babies! This latest blood test result just finalized it for me I think. I found some stuff on the internet and I think my doctor is talking about something called a Factor V Leiden mutation. So, since I have that I will definitely keep having problems with keeping pregnancies, I will always be at risk of a blood clot during surgeries, so it's just not worth the risk to me anymore!

Diane:No AF while breastfeeding!!!!! I was not so lucky, I had my period every month (right on time) that I breastfed!!!! It would be great if this time around AF decided not to show until after Garrett no longer breastfed.
Linda: FACTOR 5!!!!! Remember back in the day when my cousin called me freaking out, she was worried my sister and I had this blood disorder....... I posted all about it (this was before I got pregnant), anyway.... she has Factor five, and so does my friend Amy! I know all (well kinda) about it because I did a ton of research on it because knowing my cousin had it I was nervous it ran in my family. I am so sorry that you have it, but it is VERY manageable. Now that both my cousin and Amy's DR know about it they are able to have very healthy pregnancies. When it come to factor 5 knowing is 90% of the battle!!!! DO not worry, everything is going to be just fine!
Ok, gotta get back to the kids!

Hey ladies! Happy 14 days until Thanksgiving? Do you have anything big planned for Thanksgiving? Will you be going shopping the day after? It is so great that your babies are here in time for the holidays!!! I am not sure if you saw Jenniofer's post.... but they moved her due date, she is now due the end of December!!! Her baby might be here in time for Christmas too! Nothing new here. I am all bummed because Garrett is not moving as much as normal. I know it is because he is going though a growth spurt.... but feeling him move is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant! Anyway... how are your girls doing? Linda: Any more news on the factor 5? Diane: Is your baby girl packing on the weight yet? I hope you are both having a great week!!! Jacque
