To keep Buddy Groups from getting to long, we lock the old thread and start a new one. You can still go back and read from the old thread (they are located in the Buddy Group Achieves), but will need to post on this one from here on out. Happy Posting Thanks Jacque

Hey everyone! Alisha's Birth Story (well at least the first part anyway) is on our old thread. I will keep it on the buddy group page until I know that everyone had a chance to read it.
Alisha: I cannot wait until you post the rest of the story! --- I was able to get to the post office yesterday, so the gifts are in the mail. I hope you like what I got, if not you can return it. I will not be offended.
Amanda: The quilt sounds perfect. I would love to see it, can you email me a photo? You are very lucky to have such an awesome present! --- I think that it is awesome that you did not have to do that much work... do not feel guilty, you should enjoy it! Just think of all of those days that you worked your butt off... see, it all evens out. --- Combos are little pretzels filled with cheese. Here is a photo of the ones I ate... they are so yummy. Ok, I am away laughing on a fast camal....Jacque

Alisha-I can't wait to see the rest of your birth story.
Jacque-I have never in my life seen Combos-maybe they don't sell them here in California. Although if I'm going to be bad and snack on something it will be something sweet-I'm not much for chips and pretzels and all that. Give me chocolate!
So I am painting in the nursery today. I HATE PAINTING!!! But I will be happy when it's done. Then I can do all the fun things like put the crib together and put stuff on the walls. Oh and guess what........I bought another baby outfit, can you believe it, I have no self control. I am working tomorrow and Sunday we are going to a b-day party at Bounceopolis (a warehouse that has every kind of jump house known to man). So I will try to check in Sunday or Monday. Have a great weekend ladies!!!
Love and sticky babydust! Amanda

Hi girls, Sorry to keep you in suspense. Anyways, to start where I left off...the anesthesiologist did an excellent job and I didn't end up with a spinal headache again. Thank God! After the anesthesia kicked in, everything went so fast. Serge came in and he had the biggest smile ever on his face. I was really scared the whole time b/c I felt like I couldn't breathe. Then, I felt like I was going to throw up but the anesthesiologist said, "Welcome to my candy shop...I have something for everything." And she gave me some medicine and I didn't throw up. It was awesome! About 10 minutes after Serge walked in, they said, "Wow, look at all that hair. It's black. " Then it seemed like forever before the Doctor asked Serge if he gets queezy easily. He said, "Not at all." So, the Doctor let him go behind the curtain and tell me it was a girl. When those words came out of my mouth, it was one of the happiest moment of my life. I secretly wanted a girl, but I didn't tell anyone. Serge always suspected it, but I didn't flat out say it. I started bawling my eyes out so bad that they handed me a box of tissue, not a tissue. I kept crying, "I can't believe Yesenia has a sister." It has been a dream of mine my whole entire life to have two little girls. I wanted a sister so badly growing up and was always jealous of my friends that had sisters. If I didn't get one, the least that I wanted was to be able to give my daughter that gift. I was so thankful for my little princess, and I still am. I can't describe into words the happiness that I felt and still feel for having the wonderful gift of two beautiful, healthy little girls. After it was all over and I was out of recovery, I was taken up to mother/baby unit. My mom showed up about half an hour later with Yesenia. They made her wait outside for about 5 mintues b/c they were working on me. I guess Abriyel cried out loud and my mom said that Yesenia grabbed her hand and started walking into the room and said, "Come on Grandma, let's go see it." When she walked in, I broke down into tears and saide, "Mom, Yesenia got a little sister! Can you believe it, she has a sister. MY dream came true." My mom started bawling b/c she knew how much of a dream come true this was for me. Yesenia got the biggest smile I've ever seen in my life when I said, "Come here sweety and see your baby sister." She said, "I want to soft it." (She calls petting things, "softing" them.) It was so cute. Then she said, "I want to hold it." I'll post a picture of her holding her baby later when I have some time. It's so cute! She said to me, "Thank you mommy. I'm so happy you had a baby sister for me." About an hour into the visit Abriyel started to cry so Yesenia started singing, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and Abriyel stopped crying. She was so proud of herself. We were in the hospital until Tuesday afternoon at about 4:00. We had the best hospital experience ever. All of our nurses were wonderful! When we got home, the house was still clean b/c my mom kept it that way. She had also made about two weeks worth of dinners and frozen them. (We are still eating them!) On all of the freezer bags, she wrote things like..."Welcomebaby Abriyel. Grandma loves you!" She is such a wonderful mother. Abriyel is a wonderful baby. She truly is a gift from God. She sleeps really well, 3 or 4 hours at a stretch already...and she is a natural at breastfeeding. That is another gift b/c you saw from my b/f post that I didn't have it so easy with Yesi. Abriyel took right to it from the moment they put her to my breast in the recovery room. She loves to eat and sleep. Well, there goes my girl again. She's ready for her dinner. I have to let you girls go. Love, Alisha

Amanda: How did the painting go? Is the room now complete? --- Less then 80 days now! I love the fact that your ticker seems to be moving so fast... I hope that time is going by just as fast for you and that all is going perfectly! -- I hope the party went great! I love places like that. --- I love the fact that you keep buying things! I remember you saying that you were going to practice self control... so much for that. Do not worry, I would be the same way!
We had another busy weekend. Friday night we had tumbling and a fish fry fundraiser at Kailey's school. Saturday we had Special Olympics practice and had some of the day care kids over for a movie night. Then Sunday we had a tumbling meet - Kailey placed 4th - she is getting better!!! and our hot water heater broke so Mike and Dusty had to put that in. I am spotting today, so AF is out the door. I am definitely not temping this cycle, but I have been cleaning my house... and still have not found that thermometer. I wonder what the heck happened to it.Also... we are leaving for a mini vacation this weekend! I will be gone Friday, Saturday, and coming home on Sunday night. I took Monday off of work to relax and Babydance... woohoo we planed this trip out right, we will be back in time for O day. I am going to use OPK's but I am not going to start them until about CD11 or 12 since I do not O until usually around 15 or 16.
I bleached my hair, but only the top layer, the bottom layer I colored a lighter shade of brown, so I have a two toned highlighted sort of look. It is a golden color, and I love it.
I will be back in a minute, I have to check on the kids... naptime is almost over!

Alisha-What a wonderful story. I'm glad you had a good experience. It sounds like Yesi is really excited to be a big sister, I hope Abbie is the same way when Alexis comes.
Jacque-I will send you pics of the quilt after Alex gets home. We got a new printer scanner thing and it is interfering with downloading pics from my camera, I'm sure it is something totally easy to fix-but as you know I'm not super computer literate.
So we worked on the nursery again yesterday. The painting is all done!!!! YAY!! I finally got it to be the color yellow I imagined in my head. Alex put the crib together yesterday and I put the bedding on it-it looks so cute! Although it's a bit wrinkled from being packed away for 3 years-so I'll have to take it off to wash and iron it. Knowing me I'll take it to the cleaners cause I hate to iron-plus they do a much better job than I can do. Alex and I are off to Palm Springs for a few days. We leave Friday night and will be back Tuesday night. Abbie is really upset about us not taking her. Normally she BEGS to stay the night at my folk's house, but this time when I told her she would get to stay with grandma and pa for 4 nights she just cried and cried her little eyes out. I feel so guilty-but this is the only time Alex and I will have to get away just the two of us for a long time and I think we deserve it. Maybe she'll be more excited when it gets closer to Friday (I hope).
I hope everyone else is well!

Hey Jacque-we posted at the same time. I'm glad AF is out the door. I think not temping will be good for you. I hated temping-it literally made me crazy. My ticker says that this baby weighs 3 pounds-WOW. It feels as if all three of those pounds are crammed right on top of my bladder. The b-day party was fun-although Abbie got tired of bouncing and was more interested in throwing foam balls at these target things-oh well. I hoped that she would wear herself out and be really tired last night-but no luck, she was as active as ever right up until I tucked her in.

Amanda: I will keep an eye out for the photos! --- You are going to have such a great time, we are both going on a weekend get away. Granted, to two different corners of the states, but hey.... a get away is a get away!!! I think it is so cute that Abbie wants to go this time, but you are right you two so need some time to relax and spend time together before your due date. Maybe if you take her to the movies or out to eat the night before she goes she will be more OK with it. Plus, since she likes to stay at her Grandparents house so much you know she will be fine and that she will have a good time!
Diane: Congrats on hearing the heartbeat again. I am so happy for you!
Alisha: Hey!!! I am so glad I finally got to read the rest of your birth story and that breast feeding is going well... How are you feeling? How is your recovery going? --- I got an email from Emily!!! I saw that she sent it to you also, I am glad things are going well for her. --- I posted more on the 2006 momma's thread!!!

Amanda: We both posted at the same time again.... 3 pounds! I cannot imagine. It seems like yesterday that you told me you were pregnant!!!! --- I agree, temping is a pain. I know I am ovulating... I have 13 charts confirming this. I always O about the same time, so I will just use OPK's to confirm this for a while. I love the fact that I can relax first thing in the morning, I feel like temping first thing just made me think about TTC right off the bat, and then I thought about it so much for the rest of the day... it is much more relaxing this way!

Hi all, I can't believe my sweet little angel is 10 whole days old today. Time is flying by. She's such a great baby! I'm so happy that the breast feeding is going so well. Yesi is spending two nights with my mom so that Serge and I can have some time to sleep. She is getting very into spending time playing with mommy and daddy, which is fun, but is hard when you're sleep deprived. She'll be back tomorrow, and I can't wait! Amanda- I think it's a good thing that you are buying new clothes for the baby. I thought that I wouldn't want any more, but I love getting new clothes for Abriyel...even though her closet is literally overflowing with Yesi's old things. We have to go buy a changing table/dresser today, b/c the one in her closet is too full. The changing table we have now is kinda' flimsy, so it will be good to have a sturdier one. Jacque- I didn't get an update on Emily. How is she doing? Thanks for asking about me. It's funny b/c when you have a new baby, people all the sudden forget about you. It doesn't really bother me though, b/c all I can think about right now is her and Yesi anyways. My DH is so sweet. He keeps on telling me how beautiful I look and how every time I have a baby, I look more beautiful than ever. I'll tell you what...I don't feel that way. I just can't wait to get some of this baby weight off. I know that b/f will help me, but it's hard to be patient. Diane- How is your pregnancy going? I hope you are feeling well. Are you going to ask the gender of your baby at your ultrasound? Linda- I'm curious to hear how you are feeling as well. Are you hoping for a certain gender, or do you not care? I would have been happy with either, but I secretly hoped for another little girl. I'm so glad that I got my wish. Kris- I feel like I haven't spoken to you for weeks. How are you doing? You and Amanda are getting so close to the end. It seems like just yesterday that I was reading your "I'm pregnant message and starting this buddy group with just the two of us as members in the beginning. Look how we've grown.
I gotta' let you girls go. I need to go shower so that we can head over to Walmart to get the changing table. I'm so excited!
Take care, Alisha

Alisha: I am gald that you guys are getting some sleep. It will do Yesi some good getting out of the house also. Did she like her gift from Abri? You got her the big sister Dora dolls, right??? --- I will post the email from Emily on the 2006 Mommy Board.... everything is going well with her, thank God. I was starting to worry when we went so long without hearing anything. --- WooHoo on the new changing table. That is awesome. --- I am gald everyone is adjusting well, and that you are posting more often! I missed you while you were gone.
How is everyone else doing?

Hi all! Well yesterday I completely wore myself out by doing too much. I cleaned the gameroom from top to bottom, including shampooing the carpet. This was no easy feat. You literally could not walk in there because of Abbie's toys all over the floor. I threw away a huge black garbage bag full of her toys (I had to do it while she was napping or there would have been a meltdown, now she'll never even notice). I think I got it so it is now baby safe without little pieces-I put the toys with small pieces in Abbie's room, where she has been instructed that they must stay. In between all this I did 8 loads of laundry (I let it pile up again), and I even folded it and put it away too. Today I am in misery. My back is KILLING me and I have this stretching pain in my groin that is bad today too (I had the same with Abbie and it lasted my whole pregnancy), and my maternity pants aren't comfy anymore and I just want to lie in bed and sleep. Sorry to whine but I should know better than to try to do all that in one day, because I definitely pay for it the next! Needless to say I didn't get much done today except a bunch of wishful thinking. Hopefully I'll at least muster up enough stamina to change the sheets on the beds and cook dinner-I think that's the best I can hope for at this point.
Alisha-It sounds like little Abri is blending into your family really well. It's great that your mom took Yesi for a few days so that you and Serge could get a bit more sleep. I hope you enjoyed it.
Jacque- Where are you going this weekend?-someplace fun I hope!
I'm working tomorrow so I'll try to post Thursday!

Amanda: Our trip is going to be small, but relaxing.... we are only going to Chicago. Not to far, it will only take us a few hours to get there. Not sure what we are doing while we are there... we are staying at this steller Holiday Inn, it has an Olympic size swimming pool, a two hot tubs, a huge workout room, a kids room, a game center, a game room, and I LOVE IT! We stay there every time we go to Chicago. We might be going to the museums, or the zoo... not sure, we are going to play it by ear. I just cannot wait.. --- I am happy that you got all of that cleaning done, what a huge sense of accomplishment. It sucks that you are in so much pain though... I hope it is better soon. I would hate for you to be sore while you were at work today!!!
How is everyone else doing... You all need to stop in more, I need that extra babydust... lol
