Good morning ladies! I hope everyone is well. Not much going on here. My neighbor is going to throw me a baby shower so I have been trying to get a list together for her. Kristina-I'm so sorry to hear about you being put on bedrest-YUCK. I had a friend with the same thing and she said the only thing that saved her was a laptop with a wireless internet connection. You could also work on your baby's baby book and have all that done by the time the baby is born. The good thing is that they'll usually take you off bedrest around 36 weeks because it's fine if the baby comes a few weeks early. Jacque-Are you in the TWW yet? I can't wait to find out if we'll have a Halloween baby to look forward to! I love Carter's also. There are outlet stores about 45 minutes from here and they have a Carter's and an OshKosh outlet so I am hoping to get over there to get Abbie her summer clothes (since this is probably the last year she'll be able to fit in Carter's stuff!), and of course pick some stuff up for the baby too. Alisha-Your 30th b-day party sounds like it is going to be sooo fun! I am hoping that my DH will throw me a big party for my 30th, although he turns 40 next year, so I'll have to throw him a big party first. Ok, cute kid story coming up........ the other day I was paying bils and Abbie comes in and we are just chatting and she walks out of the room and then rushes back and says oh so nonchalantly "By the way Mommy, I don't like bald eagles, could you please tell Daddy?" WHA? I have no idea where this came from or why it was such vital information for me to tell Daddy, but obviously it was important to her. She comes up with some of the most off the wall stuff sometimes, I just have to laugh. I hope everyone is having a great day and have a great weekend! Amanda

Hi girls, Amanda-What a cutie. My daughter comes up with goofy stuff too. She has this Fairytopia video, and there is this old fairy man that she is afraid of. She says it's cause' he has white hair on his face (goatee). Anyways, there's this part where he yells, "YOU!" to the fairy that he's been searching for, and every time it is about to come up she runs to me and climbs up in my lap. When I ask her what's wrong, she whines and says, "That fairy going to say, "YOU!" I guess, "you" is scary. Ha Ha! Jacque-Yes, people are asking me over and over when I'm having the baby. It's funny though, b/c everyones says that it has gone by so fast. I agree. I can't believe it's almost time. On Wednesday, I will be 35 weeks pregnant, and 4 weeks from delivery day! It is so amazing! I'm bummed b/c I was supposed to find out the actual date tomorrow, but now I have to wait until the 23rd. Oh well, it will fly by. I hope this is your month too girl. After what you did on Tuesday, maybe..... Kristina-I'm sorry that you have to be on bed rest hon, but I'm glad that the baby is okay. You should get some good books. I am reading a really good one now called, "Memoirs of a Geisha." The movie is coming out too. I also recently finished one called, "The Secret Life of Bees." They are both great books that you should have your DH pick up for you at the library. Amanda's idea was a great one too. I have this book for Yesi that is called, "For my Daughter, a keepsake of a mother's love." It is really neat b/c half of it is about me and my childhood and adult life, and the other half is about her. When she grows up, she'll have a record of both of our lives to hold on to. It is so sweet that I cry every time I write in it. You should start one for your daughter...it would be a PERFECT way to pass your time. I hope you find a way to keep yourself busy. Diane-How was your appt? Didn't you have one recently? Alisha

Hi girls I'm back from the specialists and everything looks good so far. My cervix hasn't shorten at all and there not going to see me anymore unless I start to bleed again or I start to have contractions. This doctor cost $35.00 co-pay every time I go so it's great I don't have to go back any time soon. I just hope everything stays the same the rest of my pregnancy.
The doctor said that my commute to the NYC is to long for somebody who is pregnant and has bleed. So I'm defiantly out of work until the baby comes. I can go out and drive and do things and I don't have to stay on the coach all day. That was a good thing to hear.

Happy Valentines

Hi ladies! Sorry I have not posted in so long..... I am having trouble keeping up with the site because I have been so busy with work. Today is a snow day, and I should only have 8 kids.... so if there is time (and if they are being good) I will be able to catch up on all of the posts I missed!

Hello all, Things have been a little slow around here lately...that's good b/c I don't have to read a bazillion posts to catch up. Well, here's an update on my situation...I'm joining you Kris. I've finally been put on bed rest. You know all the contractions I've been complaining about and ending up in Labor and Delivery over??? Well, they finally landed me in my bed. Yesterday at about 10:00 am. I was at work when all of a sudden I started getting bad contractions that were very painful. They were so bad I had to walk to the office and lay down in sick bay. The secretary called my husband when I started getting back pain with the contractions. Luckily Serge only works a few blocks down the road at another school, so he rushed over and took me home. I had contractions laying down and drinking water for about another 1 1/2, and then took a nap. When I woke up at 3:00, I was still having them, so I called L&D and they told me to come on in. We got there around 5:00 and I was put on the monitors. At first, the contractions slowed way down, to 22 minutes apart and they were like, "Well, I think we're going to just let you go home." I told them that this is how the pattern goes and as soon as I leave I bet they'll pick up again and so they decided to monitor me for another half an hour. Well, it's a good thing I did, b/c then they started coming every 3 minutes! When the nurse came back in she was like, "OH my, they've really picked up, I'm going to call the Doctor." Anyways, to make a long story short, I was starting pre-term labor and they ended up giving me some medicine to stop the labor. It sucked b/c it made me really shaky. After they stopped, around 9:00, they told me I can't go back to work at least until my next appt. (Tuesday) and maybe not at all. They will re-evaluate at that time. Ugh, what a night! Alisha

Ok.... here is a "me" update... then I will be back for personals....
First things first, take a look at my awesome chart!!!! Today is a SNOW DAY!!!! I only have 5 kids, and they are being AWESOME! I have gotten nothing done. So once I am done with this post I have to start getting ready for Kailey's big Birthday Weekend! Can you believe my baby is going to be 8!!!! Friday is her birthday, we are staying home and making ravioli. Saturday we are taking her to the Olive Garden and a movie, and Sunday we are going to watch all of her favorite movies. Which is great because she and I both love the same ones.... Father of the Bride (part one and two) Princess Bride, Princess Diaries (one and two), My big fat Greek wedding.... the list goes on and on and on..... So, when should I test? I do not even have a HPT in the house!!!!! I am starting to get that feeling, you know the one... my POAS addiction has returned!!!! Jacque

Amanda: Thanks for being my cheerleader, I hope your right and that there will be a Halloween Baby in our new future! --- Abbie sounds so adorable! Too bad she does not like bald eagles... I would have laughed my a$$ off! --- How long do you plan on working??? Alisha: Not to much longer and we will find out the exact due date for your little baby! WooHoo, the 23rd cannot come fast enough.... your appointment is still on the 23rd, right? -- How is bed rest treating you? Kristina: I am glad you are no longer on bed rest, and now that you are not working you will have so much time to prepare for the baby! How awesome is that? I hope you are keeping busy and you are making tons of time for relaxation! --- If you are looking for something to do, you might want to try cross stitch! Diane: How exciting, only one more week until your next appointment! As for me... I ope to join you soon, today I am on 9DPO...CD 25 and look what my temp did...... IT WENT UP AGAIN!!!! My chart is really starting to look beyond AWESOME!!!! Since the m/c my temps have NEVER been this high on 9 DPO.... which is great, because our heater went out in the middle of the night last night and my temps were STILL this high... the heater is working already... long story, sometimes it happens but it is a quick fix! Thanks ladies for your support, I really do love you all! Jacque

Good morning. Not a lot to report here. Earlier I said that this baby didn't move as much as Abbie did, but I stand corrected. The last few days she has been rocking and rolling in there like crazy. We still haven't picked a name and part of that is that we've been too busy to sit down and talk about it. This week I'm leaning towards Alyson, but I still don't know. We had our taxes done and are getting a nice refund!!! Yay for tax preparers!! Our tax person is in the town where we used to live so we drove up there on Monday (about an hour away) to have our taxes done and then we went out to dinner. At the restaurant we ran into a very close friend of ours that I used to work with and Alex used to work with her husband (they live in the town we used to live in). She knew about my m/c and was very happy to see that I was pg. She is close friends with my old roommate and some former coworkers so it was nice to catch up. I'm going to invite her to my baby shower.
Jacque-Your chart does look great! I hope this is it! I wouldn't test until 14 DPO, but I don't know if you can wait that long, LOL. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to work. My plan is to work up to 36 weeks which would be mid-May. When I was pg with Abbie I was taken off at 33 weeks, but this time I'm not working full-time and I'm not working on the night shift like I was with Abbie. But 12 hour shifts are REALLY REALLY hard, esp. when you're pg. Also with Abbie I was having reflux problems so bad that I was vomitting blood, so my Dr. decided that 12 hour night shifts in the ICU were probably not the best for my stress levels. After I got on some prilosec and stopped working the reflux got WAY better and no more vomitting. I still ate TUMS by the handful though up until the day she was born. The only thing concerning me is how badly my legs are swelling by the end of my shift, and I still have 4 months to go. I hate wearing support hose cause they are so HOT, but I might just have to grin and sweat it out. Plus I have lots of Braxton Hicks contractions at work, and I really can't stop what I'm doing and put my feet up usually. I'd love it if they'd put me on light duty. Paper pushing for a few months doesn't sound so bad.
Alisha-I'm so sorry you're on bedrest, that stinks. Hopefully they'll take you off after your next appointment, won't you be 36 weeks by then?
Kristina-Well you don't have to go to work anymore, yay!! Now you have all the time in the world to do your "nesting" and get ready for the baby!
Diane-you are closing out that 1st trimester, are you so happy that things have been going so well? I hope your next appointment goes great!
Love and sticky babydust! Amanda

Amanda: 14 DPO? Are you kidding me??? LOL you know me so well... there is no way I will wait that long, Sunday at the earliest, but I will try to hold out until Monday. AF is due on Tuesday so that is really not that early (at least for me anyway!) --- I am happy that you have your work plan (sort of) worked out. You will need time to rest before baby comes and I think that 36 weeks is a good time to call it quits. Did you decide what to do with Child care??? What ever happened to the nanny you had??? I remember us talking about weather or not she was a good influence to have around Abbie... but I cannot remember what you decided to do. --- I love Alyson, you should use that name. You can call her Alyson Jacqueline. See.. that is soooo pretty! lol --- Awesome news about the taxes, and running into your old friend... it sounds like you had a great day! --- I also think it is sooo cool that the baby is moving so much!!!!! Alisha: You better be resting and drinking loads of water. Kristina: You better be resting also. Diane: You can rest if you want too. Jacque

Hi all! Just a quick note to let you know that I will be MIA until Wednesday night or Thursday morning because Abbie and I are off to visit my best friend in Colorado for a few days. Don't let anything too exciting happen until then, unless, of course, if Jacque gets her BFP. Wish me luck on flying by myself with an active preschooler!

Hello ladies, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo excited, as I know Jacque is b/c Emily is our friend...the one on the news board that just got her BFP. She's been trying for a year and we've been talking (Jacque, Em and I) since the beginning of my pregnancy. Yeah for her!
Amanda- Good luck during the flight. I have a friend with a daughter named Alyson, she even spelled it the same. I love it b/c it has a "y" in it. I will have a "y" in all of my children's names no matter what! She calls her daughter, "Lally pop." It's really cute. So, you must be a nurse? I'm guessing based on your description of your job. What kind of nurse are you? I noticed you work in ICU. My step mom is applying to nursing school this month and is very excited about it.
Diane- I love seeing your ticker get closer and closer to that 12 week mark. It is such a relief to make it there and be done with all the morning sickness and crap. You haven't updated us in a while about how you're feeling. It's about time for that!
Kristina- I'm so happy for you that you know that you don't have to go back to work. I hope that is okay for you guys financially. As for us, we've been saving for about a year, so we will be okay. We'd be a lot better off if we didn't have to pay $1500 to the feds for taxes. Oh well...just not as much shopping...but how much shopping can you do the first couple of months anyways, right?
Jacque- I can't wait to hear about that BFP. Man, it would be so stinkin' cool if you and Emily both got your BFP's within a week of each other. I agree with Amanda though...you should wait until 14dpo, (or 17 if you're me. ha ha!) I know there is no way that you will though, and I can't say I blame you. I hope that you make it at least until Monday though, you junkie.
Didn't we have another pg mommy on this board at one time??? It seems like someone dropped in and said they were joining us but never really did. I'm gonna' have to go on the prowl, like I did with Amanda...and aren't we so glad that I did? We wouldn't be the same without her.
Take care everyone, Alisha P.S. Let's all pray for Jacque and her BFP!

Hi girls,
Sorry I haven't posted lately I've been very lazy. Yesterday was the first day I was out walking around and my back was killing me by the end of the day. I went looking at stuff at Babies R Us & other baby stores around where I live. I can't believe all the stuff they have out for babies know. I can't wait to register for baby stuff I think I just might do some on-line because my husband has been so busy with work that he has no time at all to look at anything baby besides work and it really SUCKS.
Jacque: I really hope this month you join us it will be great news. Have you tested yet?
Alisha: I guess that baby really wants to show her face already so how much longer do you have? How are the contractions since being on bed rest?
Amanda: How is everything with you? So are you getting bigger by the day I feel like I'm. I can't wait to see my daughter how about you?

Hi girls, Well, I have great news! I don't have to go back to work, and I'm so happy and relieved for that. I almost cried when I asked the Doctor if he could extend my bed rest b/c of the contractions, b/c I was so afraid that he wouldn't. But...he did. I won't be going back to work untill September, when my baby is 6 months old, Yippee! I don't know what I would have done if he would have told me that I had to go back to work, b/c the contractions are just getting worse every day. I also found out that the baby will be born for sure on March 17th, unless I go into labor earlier. Yeah, I will have a ST. Pattie's day baby afterall. 24 more days until my lil' cherub arrives! Kristina- It is fun to register online at Babies R us. I did that with Yesenia, and it's really easy and convenient for people that live out of town. Sorry that your honey can't look at things with you...hhopefully he will be able to soon. What are you going to name your baby? Amanda- Hope you are enjoying yourself visiting your friend. It's always nice to see friends. Jacque- I hope you are well today. I saw the temp dip, and I'm worried that you are bummed about that. Just remember hon, it's not over till' the ugly b*t)h shows her face. Diane- I'm confused about your message about the ultrasound...are you having one? When you said you didn't want to pay $350 to find out the sex, you confused me. Does that mean that insureance won't cover an ultrasound for you? If so, that sucks. I'm sorry. I just assumed you were going to find out, b/c you are a team purple member. Or did you mean that if the baby doesn't cooperate, you won't pay for another one? That totally makes sense. I wouldn't want to pay for another one either. Are you hoping for one gender over the other? I can't remember if I've already asked you that. What about names?
