Hey girls, Dwattles- I hope that you enjoy your first appt. You must be so excited! Tomorrow you should feel so relieved when they give you that ultrasound (or will they?) They wouldn't see me until I was almost finished with my first trimester this time (11 1/2 weeks!) Can you believe that? I was very disappointed, but all is well now. Just as it will be for you in about 34 weeks when your little one arrives. Are you hoping for a certain sex? I think I asked you before what the sex of your first child is, but I can't remember getting a response. Jacque- I'm feeling anxious...that's the best word I can use to describe me now. It is harder every day to get up and go to work, and I will be so happy when I'm done. I only have 5 more weeks, but it sounds like forever. I will be shocked if I actually make it the 5 weeks though, b/c I'm having contractions like crazy. It's really crazy, let me tell you. They really hurt sometimes, and I've almost gone to labor and delivery twice this week b/c I had up to 10 contractions in one hour. That night, they lasted for two hours, and then last night, I got the bad ones again, from 1:00 until about 5:45, but they were like every 15 minutes. They hurt pretty bad though, enough to make me fall asleep immediately when they let up. As for clothes, I'm not going to buy anything until after the wee one arrives. I already have everything I could ever hope for for a baby girl. I bought one little boy outfit for the hospital when I was about 18 weeks pg, and I've been holding off ever since. If this one is a boy, my DH and my mom are going to be shopping fools after the operation. Kristina- What's up with you? Have you been buying little dresses like crazy? I went out and spent $100 on dresses alone the day that I found out I was expecting a little girl. It was soooooooooooooooooo fun and special for me. Take care girls, Alisha

Hi girls, Amanda- How cute that you changed your ticker to pink...I love it! Yeah, I think it is pretty amazing that I've waited too, especially since I've been teased my whole life for not being able to wait to open my Xmas presents. Ha Ha! Why don't you stick around and join us here. We would love to have you! I'm so happy for you about your girl. They are SUCH gifts, as you already know. Kristina-It seems like forever since I've heard from you. How have you been? I hope you are feeling better now, b/c last time I heard, you were not well. Dwattles-How was that appt? I'm curious to hear all about it! Jacque-Hope you are a chartin' maniac right now. Halloween baby, here she/he comes! Take care, Alisha

Hello ladies! Well Alisha has invited me to join you on here multiple times so here I am. I hope all is well with everyone. Yesterday we drove up to the mountains to play in the snow. It was sooo beautiful and started to snow as soon as we got there. Abbie really liked it at first but after about 20 minutes she had had enough (it's hard when you're only 3 and the snow comes up to your waist). So we sat in the car for a while and watched it snow and then headed home. It was an all day excursion for 20 minutes of fun. Oh well. Today I am doing housework (like always), but hopefully I will get some time to work in the nursery. I've already started organizing stuff and now you can actually walk in there without falling over something. When we moved here over a year ago we sort of just threw all the babystuff into the room and we haven't touched it since. I am so excited about getting the room ready. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Hi girls, WELCOME...FINALLY...AMANDA! I'm so happy that you've finally made the move over here. After all, you are pregnant. ;-) I can't believe that you are already passed the halfway mark and then some. It seems like just yesterday we were hearing about you and Kristina's BFP's! Sounds like you had a lot of fun driving, and a little fun in the snow. Isn't that just like a 3 year old. My DD Yesenia is the same way. She begs and begs to go outside with daddy to do some chores, and then wants back in the warm house after 20 minutes or so. She's so cute! Kristina-What is going on with you girl? We haven't heard from you in awhile. Dwattles-I'm just dying to hear about that Doctor's appt. I hope all went well. Jacque-I'm going to post the story below on our other site too, so you will see it twice.
So, we had the scare of a lifetime last night, and I was in Labor and Delivery for 3 hours! Yesterday at about 4:00pm, we headed for an hour and a half trip to my nieces house for her 2nd birthday party. When we left, I started getting contractions. I got like 7 in an hour, so we almost turned around, but my DD started bawling b/c I told her we might not be able to go to Ashlyn's birthday party today. So, I bit the bullet and took my chances. I had a few more contractions before I got to my mom's house (she lives in the same town as my niece.) Anyway, my mom and I headed to my niece's party, and I had a few more, but nothing to write home about. It wasn't until about 9:00, when we were heading home that I started to panic. I started timing them after I had 3 within 30 minutes. They started out about 15 minutes apart, and then they went to 9, and then 4!!! I was totally freaking out b/c it felt exactly like the early stages of labor that I had with my DD. So, we dropped Yesi off with her other grandma, and headed to the hospital. By the time I got there, I had had 13 contractions in 90 minutes. Anyways, to make a long story short, I was put on all those crazy machines, and after 3 hours of observation, they determined that I was indeed having contractions and it was caused from dehydration. Evidently, I wasn't drinking enough water, so my uterus became irritated and started contracting like crazy. They made me drink a huge bucket of water and juice and observed me for another hour and then released me. I have to go to take some pre-term labor classes b/c I'm evidentally at a higher risk for it now. Ugh!!! What a crazy night! Alisha

Alisha - sorry about the scary night last night! Glad no more contraxs. Amanda - hello and welcome. So how far along are you? Thanks everyone for asking. My doc appt went fine. had an u/s and at first I got real nervous because I couldn't see anything but a sac, but finally I saw something flutter and it was the h/b and I was so happy! So next appt is in 4 weeks and praying all stays OK!

Good morning girls!!!!
Alisha: Wow I never knew you could have contractions from not drinking enough how crazy is that! I hope you are feeling better and taking it easy.
Well last Thursday I went into work and peed blood early in the morning and almost had a heart attack. Also the bus that I was on hit a huge bump and I think that's why I was bleeding because I wasn't bleeding at home before I left for work. I went back to my desk to ask somebody for a pad and felt the blood going threw my underwear. So I called my doctor and he said to go to the nearest hospital because I was in NYC and wasn't close to home. The first thought I had a cervical polyp then they changed it to that my cervical was measuring short 1.7 which wasn't good at being 5 months. Then I called my doctor and he sent me to a specialist at another hospital in NJ so I went there afterward. The doctor there was wonderful and checked everything and I have a cervical polyp.
I have an appointment today with my doctor so he can check me and tell me what I should do. I have been out of work since lasts Thursday. Has anybody heard of pregnant women getting cervical polyps.

Diane: You have nothing to worry about, the chances of you having another m/c are so slim. I know it is easier said then done, but kick back, relax, and enjoy the next several months. Alisha: I am starting to worry about you and the baby. I want you to drink so much water that you feel as if you are going to float away!!!! I went shopping yesterday and I almost bought you the cutest little blue outfit, but I stopped myself. I will wait until the big announcement is made. What do your little boy (and little girl) take home outfits look like? --- Are you off today, or did you go back to work? Was there any talk of bedrest? --- Oh, your URL was funkey on Yesi's birthday ticker... I fixed it for you. I wanted to let you know, just in case you noticed the change. Amanda: I am so glad you joined us here. I love posting on this tread, the ladies are awesome... and all pregnant - I am hoping to pick up some extra babydust with each post I make here! --- I bet the snow looked beautiful, sorry you did not get to stay longer but at least you had a relaxing trip there and back. --- I cannot wait to see photos of the baby's room. I think that is one of my favorite parts.. it is so amazing how different everyone's baby's rooms look. We each put so much into them in hopes that this little person we have never met will love the room as much as we do. Mike told me the other day that our kid is going to hate animals... I laughed, but part of me knew he was right. lol Kristina: Are you on bedrest? What is a cervical polyp? Please fill me in!!! Ok ladies... I am going to finish catching up on my other buddy groups and then I am going to get in my morning workout. Not much new here... BUT AF is gone she left this morning and I hope this is the last time I have to see her in a very very very very long time. Jacque

Good morning ladies! Thanks for the warm welcomes.
Alisha-I'm glad all went well at the hospital. Something similar happened to a nurse I work with. She works the night shift and they got really busy taking admissions from the ER and all of a sudden she starts contracting like crazy. So the ER nurse who is bringing the patient plops her in a wheelchair and wheels her up to labor and delivery. Turns out she was just dehydrated, like you. She didn't have bedrest or anything and actually worked up until the day before she delivered. So hopefully everything will turn out the same for you!
Kristina-I have never heard of cervical polyps before. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and it has a quick fix.
Diane-I'm glad that you were able to see the HB, that is always so reassuring, especially when you've had the experience of NOT being able to see the HB. With this pg they didn't do an early US so I had to wait until 13 wks to hear the HB-it was a really stressful time for me. I would say that I am WAY more worried with this pg post m/c than I was with my first pg. It has gotten better the further along I have gotten, but there is always a little nagging voice in the back of my head. I hope you are able to enjoy this pg as much as you deserve to. Any morning sickness yet?
Jacque-WOO HOO!! AF has left the building. In a few weeks we will know if you need to start shopping for a really small Halloween costume!
I am sooo tired. DH's cell phone rang 5 times between 10pm and 3am (it was his work), Abbie got up at 2 with a bad dream, and finally DH got fed up and went into work at 5. Then my dear darling got up at 7 but mommy was fairly comatose and I woke up finding her monogramming my pillowcase with an 'A' in blue marker (thank goodness I only buy washable markers). So then I felt bad that I didn't wake up when Abbie first got up, and then when I did get up I had to punish her by taking away the markers for 3 days. I am having a rough mommy day. I think I may have redeemed myself by making chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast though. We are definitely going to the park to burn off some energy after naptime (as long as the weather holds, it's been raining on and off for a few days). I hope everyone else is well! Have a great day!

Amanda: I am sorry you did not get much sleep last night. Considering you have had almost NO sleep I think you are having a great mommy day. Plus Chocolate Chip pancakes always make everything all better. -- I Love the name Alexis, what does your hubby think of it?

Hi all, Amanda-Thanks for the story about the nurse. I was really worried, and still am a little concerned, b/c I'm still contracting, even with the extra water. I have an appt. in 2 weeks though, and will share my concerns with my Doctor at that time. I love the name Alexis. One of my close friends has a daughter named Alexis and she is absolutely ADORABLE! Abby and Alexis sounds perfect together. Hey I just realized...all A's. Jacque-You are so sweet thinking of me when you saw the cute blue outfit...but it's good that you held out. We won't know until mid March-God willing...actually early March would be even better. ha! There wasn't any talk about bed rest on Saturday, but my Doctor mentioned a while back that if the contractions didn't stop, she'd consider putting me on it until Dday, so I'm kinda' thinking that she might do just that. We'll see I guess. There was talk of "pelvic rest" though...that means no sex of any kind. The nurse had me laughing hysterically when she mentioned it. She said, "...and I mean no sex, nothing in or near the vagina, no fingers, tongues, other body parts, fruit, NOTHING!" Oh my gosh it was frickin' hilarious. I forgot to mention too that the CRAZIEST thing happened that night. The hospital where I am going to deliver probably has at least 100 nurses working there, and would you believe the one that I got was the same nurse that I had when I delivered Yesi!!! I actually had 3 nurses then, but she was my favorite, and she was the one I had the longest. She was such a sweetheart that she stayed an hour after her shift was over, just so that I wouldn't be scared for my surgery. She came in with us and held my hand. I was so thankful for her b/c the Doctor I had was a complete PRICK! Anyways, when I saw her Saturday, I immediately recognized her. She asked me, "Do you have any other children at home?" and I said, "Yes, a little girl that you actually helped bring into the world." She said, "Wait...when was it?" I said, "January of 2003." She looked at me and said..."You had a C-section after 31 hours of labor...it was a change of shift c-section and I was so mad at Logan!" (Logan was the name of my Doctor.) I couldn't even flippin' believe it! I was like, "I understand why I remember you, but how in the world can you remember me? You probably help deliver hundreds and hundreds of babies a year!" She said, "Honey, I'll never forget that one." It was such a sweet moment b/c I've always been so thankful for her. I never told you about how terrible the Doctor was to me. One of these nights, I'll tell you about it, and you'll completely understand. The outfits that I have picked out for the babies.....I only bought one outfit for a boy. It is a blue and white striped P-J with a little blue dog on it that says, "Fetch." As for a girl outfit...if my baby surprises me and is a girl, she will be going home in the same outfit as her big sister did. It is a pink PJ that is kinda' felty feeling and it has a sweet little kitty on it. Very cute! I did go to work Monday and today. Believe it or not, it was a wonderful thing b/c my arch enemy at work decided to resign. She's the woman I told you about before that called me fat when I was pg. with Yesi. She's AWFUL! Kristina-I haven't heard of a polyp, but I hope that it is easily fixed. Poor thing-take care of yourself. Diane-I'm so happy that you got to see your baby's heartbeat. Isn't that the best? What is the sex of your other child? I see that it says, "Pregnant with #2." Alisha
