Note to self, EPT test are not error proof. I compared my test to those on POAS.com, and I did get a FALSE positive. I woke up this morning to Mike leaving, he came back with 5 pregnancy test. I took one... and it was a BFN. We were both devastated...... I am really glad I did not get my hopes up. A few minutes later Mike told me he wanted me to go get one of those at home sperm test.... I have talked about them a lot, but never got one. I was scared that the results would not be good... So I went to Walgreens (and of course saw EVERYONE I knew) and picked up the test. He took it right away - it was like a little spunk chemistry set.... lol - and well, it was very very very positive! We were supposed to wait 72 hours since his last ejaculation.. we had sex on Christmas Eve, about 28 hours ago and it was still that positive, so he has a ton of swimmers!
So, the good news it that I am ovulating and Mike is potent.... we must just be one of those couples that take between 6-12 months to conceive, after all.... that is the average. So, here is to Month 7 of TTC and an October baby!
Thanks for all of your support ladies.
Jacque

Hi all, Wow, a lot has been happening on this board since I posted last. Jacque-I am sooooooooooooooo sorry hon! I was so excited when I saw that first post about the questionable positive. I was thinking of you at the time that you took the test. I was up for about the 5th pee of the night thinking, oh in about 2 hours Jacque's going to test. I was soooo hoping this would be it. I'm bummed for you, but happy to hear that Mike's test came back positive so quickly. It is reassuring knowing that we can conceive, b/c there are so many people out there that can't. I'm glad to see that you are keeping your spirits up. Kristina-Wow, 16 weeks already. I can't believe how fast the time flies. I will have my baby in my arms in 11 weeks. I can't believe it! I know how you feel about the waiting for the ultrasound. It seems like it takes forever when you're waiting. Take care girls, Alisha

Diane: I would like my first to be a BOY but If I'm having a GIRL that's fine too. All my friends had brother's growing up and I had a younger sister so I was very jealous and that's why I would like a BOY first. Well we will know in 3 wks.!!!!!
Alisha: How are you feeling? I can't believe you will be a mom again in 11 wks how time flies huh.
Have a Wonderful New Years!!!!

Hi girls, I'm feeling a little sad today. A dear friend of mine at work died this morning at 4:30 am. She had cancer, and didn't want anyone to know she was as sick as she was. Luckily, the Principal at my school contacted those of us who were very close to her. I went to see her last night. I can't talk much today b/c I'm really sad. I'll come back later on in the week to chat some more. Bye, Alisha

Alisha,
I'm so sorry about your friend it special stinks because it's during the holidays. What kind of Cancer did she die from if you don't mind me asking. Was she young and have children? If you need to talk I will be here for you. I know I had alot of family members die from cancer and it sucks.

Hi again girls, My friend was not really young, she was almost 60. But, she was young at heart, and had a wonderful gift of being one of the most selfless and kind people I have ever known. She was a wonderful teacher and will be sorely missed by our staff and the students whom she served. She had one daughter that commited suicide 14 years ago, and she was divorced. She didn't really have any family living with her, but she was still dearly loved by her community. The cancer started out in her uterus, but it spread into her liver and other parts. What a loss. Thanks for your concern. I hate cancer, as it took one of the most dear people in my life, my grandma. She died about 10 years ago, but it still seems like yesterday. Thanks for listening. Bye, Alisha
