Woohoo for passing the Glucose test... LOL I have to take 3!!!! I hope that if (I mean when) I pass the first two that I will not have to take the 3rd. I am going to go back and read your long post now... be back in a bit.
Well, today we are going to go shopping. Well, we are going to Mike's parents house.... but on the way we will shop, and on the way home we will shop... we will actually only be at their house for a few hours.
Other then that nothing is new. My belly is getting in the way, yesterday I was in the van and dropped my money in front of my seat while I was in the drive though, I had trouble picking it up and it actually kind of hurt, then last night I sneezed and it hurt... both times it felt like ligament stretching, but something to ask the Doctor about on Tuesday.

I am sorry I missed this post, so I am going to respond to this one first!
I am so sorry that your sister is having such a hard time, what is acidosis? I have never heard of that. I hope that they figure out what she needs, and quick. I is hard enough being a new mom, little alone a new mom who is sick.
How is Quentin doing? When does he go in to the the orthopedic doctor???
Since we are talking about how everyone is doing.... how are you feeling?
Ok, now time for the big post responce.....

Jacque - I am glad I passed the glucose test too!!! Hopefully he won't make me take it a 4th time!!! It is so gross! I hope you have no problems passing it either!
Have fun today at Mike's parents house and of course shopping!!! I wish we were going shopping today but Quentin is putting new speakers in the car and then watching football. Maybe this evening after the game we can go to WalMart or something. I need to get a few things from there to finish a craft project I am doing. IF we dont get to go today we will probably go tomorrow before football starts!
I totally hear you about your belly getting in the way!! I have a hard time bending over to pick stuff up off the floor, especially when I am sitting on the couch!!! It is also in the way when it comes to sleeping....I just cant get comfortable anymore!
As for how everyone is doing......it has just been a bad few weeks for my entire family! My sister, Sarah, is back out of the hospital and staying with my parents. My other sister, Catherine, had surgery on her hand last week and had to have her stitches taken out yesterday. Quentin is still waiting to hear from the orthopedic doctor so he can schedule an appointment with them. AND yesterday I found out that my mom is now in the hospital!!! She has some kind of infection or something that is causing her face to swell. She got some antibotics from the dr on Tuesday and it just kept getting worse so Sarah took her to the ER yesterday. They couldn't find where the infection was at so they admitted her and are giving her IV meds. I haven't heard anything since last night so please keep her in your prayers!
As for me, I am doing pretty well. I've had a headache for the past few days. I am thinking it is from lack of sleep because I had to get up early 1/2 the week for appointments and the other days I got up when Quenitn left for work to come down and lay on the couch and then couldn't fall back to sleep. It finally went almost completely away yesterday, but then I heard about my mom and was crying so the crying brought it back!

Hey ladies.... we are in the process of some major updates on our computer. I am only going to be on a very very minimal amount of time over the next few days. Unfortunately this means I could miss the births of two of my best online friends babies..... my email address is awesomemommy@gmail.com - Mike will be checking my email once a day at his office until things are under control here. We need a new video card and that will take a few days to get in. For now know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope to talk to you all again really soon.... like before the end of the week!

Ok, I only have a second... if that. I wanted to let you know that the appointment went well. In fact it was the best appointment so far. Baby's heart rate was at 140, about the same as last time. Everyone who works at the office thinks I am having a BOY. In fact (other then the ladies on this board) EVERYONE I know thinks we are having a boy expect for one little boy in my day care. He says the baby is a girl and there is no debate about it. lol
I have a ton of testing on Friday, I have a quick appointment... then down to the lab for my Glucose test, my AFP test, and my ULTRASOUND!!!! I am so excited. I will do everything in my power to post how it all went (and if we are having football player or a princess) by late Friday night. I have NO clue when we will get back, but I do know that my appointments all start shortly after noon.
Jennifer: Happy 24 weeks!!! I LOVE the u/s photos, they are great. Just think, within 48 hours I will be able to share mine also!!! Ihave mroe to sya, but time is running out. I will post more when I can!!!

A small fracture and a baby that is just prefect.... Thursday night I fell. THE BABY IS FINE. I was walking into our kitchen and twisted my ankle. I was not messing around, I was not over tired, and I did not trip... I was just walking. It would be nice to have a more exciting story, but the long and short of it is - I am a total klutz. I pulled myself up, and went about my business. This was mistake #1. Don't get me wrong, it hurt but I was not in an extreme amount of pain. So I went to get Kailey from school, played with the day care kids, and even went to Girl Scouts. It was not until I got home from scouts that I realized how bad it was. No, I take that back I did not realize how bad it was until I took off my shoe. Needless to say my tennis shoe was providing the support I needed and also helped to keep the swelling down. My first thought was that I was going to have to get an x-ray, and I was scared out of my mind. So, I did what any irrational pregnant woman would do. I told Mike he could not make me go to the ER and I went to bed. That lasted about 30 seconds. Mike told me that if I did not go to the ER on Thursday night that I was going to have to go to the Doctor in the morning. This meant that I was going to have to call in sick. I hate calling in sick. I hate missing work. So, once again I did what any irrational pregnant woman would do and told Mike that if he did not want me to work then he was going to have to call my day care parents and tell them not to bring their kids on Friday. THEN I went to bed... and Mike started making phone calls. Friday morning I got up and brought Kailey to school while Mike went to work (which will not surprise those of you who know first hand how stubborn I am) and at 8am sharp I called our family Dr. They told me to come in at 9:30, and that they would have their OBGYN on hand just in case their were any compilations. Now this is when I really started to freak out. I mean my OBGYN is the best in the world, why would I need to see theirs? So, my next call was to Dr Leno (which was the plan in the first place) I wanted to go in to have them look me over and check the baby’s heart rate just to be sure all was well. Remember, I did not fall that hard AND I landed on my side. I knew the baby was ok; this was just to be certain all was well. Well, I called Dr Leno and told them what happened and about my 9:30 appointment with my family DR. I also asked if I could come in to their office because I would like them to check the baby's heart rate. Well, they told me they would call me right back. Five minutes later nurse Tina was on the phone telling me I needed to come in for an ultrasound "just to be sure". It was at this point I went into full pregnancy freak out and worry mode. So at this point it is 8:45am. I am freaked out that I possibly broke my foot. I am freaked out that if it is broken I will have to have an x-ray and that the radiation will hurt my baby. I am freaked out that the fall could have hurt my baby. I am freaked out that I was home alone and I was pissed at myself for INSISTING that Mike go to work. So, once again I did what any irrational pregnant woman would do.... I called Mike crying and begged him to come home, all the while apologizing to him because I am a stubborn jerk. It was to late for Mike to go with me to the Family Doctor, but said he would be able to go with me to Dr Leno's office if he left work by 10am. So... that is what we did. I got right in at our Family Doctor and they were wonderful. I told Nurse Jenny what happened, and that I did not want pain medication or an x-ray... I just wanted them to make it all better. Then NP Kay came in and told me she agreed - we were going to try to make it without meds or an x-ray!!!! I was thrilled. She had me do some foot exercises and felt around on the sore area. She said she was almost positive that it was a small fracture. The bad news was it was painful; the good news is that we could get by with hardly any medical intervention. She told me to take it easy this weekend, which I have (yes I am bored out of my mind) and that if there was no improvement in two weeks that then we would talk about an x-ray. She also taught me how to wrap it so that there was enough pressure on the fracture to help it heal and to keep the pain at a minimum... and you know what, she really knew what she was doing. My ankle hardly hurts at all. Mike met me at the family doctor and we went right to Dr Leno's. They normally do not take patients on Fridays, so there was no waiting. He looked me over and said I looked great, and that he would feel completely at ease once we had a report on Garrett. Well, needless to say Garrett is perfect... and YES he is a boy. We saw his penis in all its glory!!! So, it is ok for us to go out and buy boy clothes!!!! They took all of the measurements they did a week ago and he grew exactly one week’s worth. I was 19 weeks 5 days pregnant and he measured at 19 weeks 5 days. My placenta was properly attached, and my cervix looked perfect. The best part is that we got three new ultrasound photos!!! So, all is well. I look like an idiot in my ankle brace, but it's ok because for the next 6 weeks it will serve as a reminder that just because I am pregnant it does not mean I need to act like an irrational pregnant woman. Until next time..... Jacque

Hey....just checking in. Sorry I haven't posted much. It is so hard for me to get on the computer here! And whenever I do, it is usually just for a few minutes. I have been reading almost everyday so that I can keep up with everyone though.
Things are going pretty good here. I am missing Quentin like crazy!!! only 4 weeks left! I can't wait to see him again! The time is not going as fast as I would like though, especially since my mom went back to work. Now it is just me at home by myself part of the day. That is when time is the slowest!!!
Sorry to hear about your fall Jacque!! Glad to hear that everything with Garrett is fine though!!! Take it easy on your foot though now! I love the u/s pictures!!!
