This is the newest entry to my joural, thought it would be easier to post this then to retype it all over again!
Drum roll please.... and the award for the most neurotic pregnant woman in the entire world goes to.... JACQUE KOMNICK!!!
Well, our 11 week appointment was yesterday and more then anything I wanted to hear the baby’s heartbeat. There was one major problem though. I do not know my exact due date. Based on past charts I could have ovulated any where between CD 10 and CD 17 which actually means that I could be anywhere between 10 weeks and 11 weeks pregnant right now. So... if I was closer to ten weeks then eleven weeks then there would have been a very very good chance that it would have been to soon to hear our baby’s heartbeat on the doppler. So, after some debate with Dr Leno we decided that I should wait to try until our next appointment which is on August 29th. At that time I will be 15 weeks and we will definitely be able to be able to hear the heartbeat.
Well... for those of you who REALLY know me know that I more then a bit worried about losing another baby, and that hearing the heartbeat was something that would have really eased my mind. So, I did the only thing I could think of that would show me that yes I really am pregnant and yes baby is indeed doing well. Yep, you guessed it the crazy lady to another pregnancy test.
Keep in mind I am showing, I have morning sickness, I am starting to feel the "butterfly" type baby movement.... but I still needed that extra reassurance. So, last night after Vacation Bible School I went to Wal-Mart... and bought ANOTHER pregnancy test. This puts me at 7 tests so far this pregnancy. Needless to say it was the most positive pregnancy test I have ever seen. The pink line was so dark that it was almost black. So, once again the magic little pee stick made the crazy pregnant lady feel much better.
I am excited about hearing the heartbeat, but even more excited about everyone else hearing it. After our next appointment Mike and I will be getting a home doppler from Wal-Mart. We will not only use it for our own use, but also so the day care kids, our friends and family can hear the baby's heartbeat. I can even download a recording of the baby’s heartbeat to the computer and email it to everyone... so needless to say, in a little less then a month EVERYONE will be listening to our baby’s heartbeat.
Now, for Meghan and baby Alex..... HE IS ALREADY HOME! Baby Alex has been home for about a week and he is doing great. He is falling into a schedule, eating well, and keeping mom and dad very busy. He went home weighing in a little over 3 pounds. He has a Dr's appointment in a few days; I will be sure to also keep you updated on their progress as well.
Until next time,
Jacque
Oh.... before I forget, I lost 6 pounds total. It looks like my scale was off at home. SO THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY! I am so glad I am losing weight, but it is awesome to know that it is little by little and not 10 pounds in 3 weeks!!!
Jennifer: The three hour test is about the same as the 1st test, you just have to wait longer between when you drink the goo and the actually test. Be thankful that Morning sickness is over for you because that can be a hard wait if you are puking!
Jacque

GIRLS.....I NEED !!!!
Okay so Quentin and I were talking last night and we've decided that neither of us really like the nursery the way it is. We want to do something more girlie. SO we are re-doing our nursery. My problem is I can't justify spending alot of money on a bedding set, but the one I like is ALOT!!! At least in my opinion. How much do you think is too much for a bedding set? How much did you spend on crib bedding?
I really want to do something I am not going to regret in there. And I really need help finding a new bed set. Do any of you have any ideas of where to look for bedding that isn't too expensive?
Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Jennifer: Happy 18 weeks! Happy Anniversary!!! So, what all did you do last night? --- I am taking my new belly shot on Saturday, then I will have 2 so I will post them then, that way you can really see how big I am getting. I MADE IT PAST 12 WEEKS AND I AM ALMOST DONE WITH MY FIRST TRIMESTER!!!! Words cannot describe how happy I am. Morning sickness is down to about once a day (thank-GOD!). Other then that all is well will me and baby. -- Kailey is switching schools this year. We decided to take her out of the catholic school and send her to public school. She is very excited about the change, and so am I. We have been school clothes shopping for the very first time (she wore uniforms at Vitiation) and already have her school supplies bought. She starts school a week from Monday!! I am going to miss her so much. -- So when do I get your new belly pic? You have not posted in a bit, I hope I did not offend you with what I said about spending to much on bedding. Did you check out the links I posted? What did you think? I will be online most of the day today.... so I hope you are to, that way we can chat! Work has been so busy that it feels like it has been ages since we have been able to talk! Jacque

Also..... I am having a hell of a time with your u/s photos, I get that the first one is a "it's a girl" shot, but explain the rest of them to me. Sorry, I am not very good at that! What did you think of the 3-D experience? Was it as cool as everyone says it is?

Jacque - Sorry I haven't been online much. I have actually been on and off reading but not having alot of time to post!!! I am sooo happy that you are almost out of the 1st trimester!!! And guess what?! I am almost 1/2 way done!!!! It is sooo exciting! Glad to hear that the m/s is settling down and that all is well with you and baby! --- I can imagine how excited Kailey is about going to public school!!! I went to a Catholic school from first grade until eighth grade. I loved it! But I was so happy to go to a public high school and not have to wear uniforms anymore! Although it was alot easier picking out what to wear when I only had 1 option!!! LoL! --- I am going to take a new belly pic this weekend too! And then make a new collage with them. I cant wait to see yours!!! --- No you didnt offend me at all about spending alot of money on bedding!! I didn't want to spend a lot on it either! We ended up buying a set at WalMart. It is really cute!!! I will attach pictures once I get them resized! I also picked out a new border and paint color for the room. --- I ran across a pillow for babies called the Floor Nanny and I really wanted one, but they are $80!!! So I challenged myself to make one! I got the materials for less than $25 at WalMart and it took me about 3 hours to make. BUT it came out really well!!!! I love it!! Now I have to make 2 more (at least). My best friend wants one and my cousin wants me to make one for a girl that she works with!
We had a really nice anniversary yesterday!!! We went to Olive Garden for dinner, which is my favorite restaurant!! Then we went to the movies and ended up seeing "World Trade Center." I wasn't sure how I would handle it, being hormonal and all!!! I thought I would be bawling the entire time!!! But I found myself glued to the screen and only crying at times during the 2 main characters stories, not the actual plane crashes and stuff. They showed a lot of footage of 9-11 but not actually the planes crashing, which was good!!! I would definitely see it again and will probably buy it once it comes out on DVD. It was so heartwrenching!!!

My little sister just called and said that my older sister is in labor and going to have her baby tomorrow. She is only 33wk, 2d today. I am worried about her and the baby! They have her on magnesium sulfate to stop the labor so they could give the baby steriods for lung development. They gave her the first steriod shot yesterday at noon and are giving her the second one today at noon. Then if labor hasnt stopped by tomorrow at noon they are taking her off the mag. sulfate and letting her have the baby! I am so excited, but so scared at the same time! I hope everything ends up being okay with both of them!! I am so sad that I am not going to be there!
Just asking that you keep her and baby Amelia in your prayers!
