Please pray that her baby arrives happy and healthy. Right now they are just postponing labor, they have tried stopping it but Kelly is not responding to the drugs.... She is at 3 cm now and is progressing at about a cm per day. So, at this rate their baby girl will be here at 35 weeks, early... but as long as all goes well she will be just fine!!!
Thanks so much!

Prayers and lots of luck to your friend.
Baby at 35 weeks with a shot to develop the lungs should do OK. But I would be worried also.

Well.... Kelly was back in the hospital last night. Her contractions were about 3 minutes apart. They were able to slow them, and eventually they stopped. She is absolutely miserable right now. She is still only dilated to 3, so the chances of us making it past Friday are looking good. She will be 35 weeks exactly) on Monday, so by Tuesday she will be in her 36 week. This is so confusing. The baby had more shots yesterday, so they are doing their best to be sure that when she is born that her lungs will be just fine.
Thanks for your prayers Diane and Jennifer!

Good news! Kelly is still pregnant! They will keep her on the medication that is postponing her labor for just 7 more days, once she makes it that far they will take her off of the medication and let her baby girl make her appearance whenever she is ready!
Thanks again for your prayers!

Todays update.....
For the last (almost) 24 hours Kelly has been having 5 contractions an hour. Once she hits six contractions an hour she has to contact the doctor. She has an appointment today so we will find out what she is now dilated to. They want her to hold of until Saturday... which is when they have officially decided to take her off the medication. Today she is 35 weeks 1 day pregnant. They hope if they take her off of the medication she will wait until Monday to deliver, which is when she will be 36 weeks pregnant.
Thanks again for your prayers ladies!!!!

Well, today Kelly is 36 weeks and 2 days. She has been in the hospital at least once a day. She is contracting at least 6 times an hour. She has lost her mucus plug and she is dilated to +4. Since she made it past the 36 week mark they decided to TAKE HER OFF OF BED REST. She called me this morning from WORK!!! So, she is off of the medication that was slowing the progression of her labor and now they are just playing the waiting game. I am sorry to say, but I hate her DR and I feel like they are just jerking her around now. I mean, COME ON!!!!! Her contractions are 3 minutes apart, but they refuse to break her water. They say that it needs to happen naturally, what has been natural about the last two weeks. How can constant contractions for the last 3.5 days be good or "natural" for the baby. I cannot believe all of the stress that Kelly body and her little girl must be under.
OK, there is my little update and my vent.

Linda: No.... she is still pregnant! She is 38 weeks 1 day today and she has an appointment at 2:30. They are going to discuss her options. She said she is going to go in and BEG that they induce her tomorrow. I sure hope they do, this is just crazy, I could not imagine having contractions for over a month!

For the record, Kelly was 38 weeks 5 days pregnant when she had her.... which means your prayers really worked, they held baby off from coming for about 5 weeks!!!!!
WOOHOO!!! I am so excited!!! I finally have a little girl that will be in my day care!!!!
