I am actually reading right now. I am only a few chapters into it, we just bought it the other night. I saw a bit on it last night on the Cobbert Report, I guess it is about the Catholic Church and this big conspiracy to cover up the fact that Jesus and Mary Madelon had kids together and the actually descendants are among us today.... I thing it sounds pretty good. I have having trouble getting into it though, but then again I am like that with most books once I reach about the 10th chapter before I really love it. Jacque

I read the book last year and loved it! I know there has been a lot of contraversy about the story line and that the cathlolic church are not happy about but hey it makes a good read and I only ever thought of it as fiction. I'm waiting for the film now, it's due out in a couple of weeks here in England.

Chrissy... one of my best friends is the principal at my daughter's school. Kailey goes to a Catholic School.... anyway, I talked to Penny about the book and she told me that as long as you look at it as a story, just a story then you are fine. It is by no means 100% historically accurate. Anyway, my principal friend is now even reading the book.... so I say you are just fine. It is not like God is going to say "nope no way, I do not care what you do St Peter but under no circumstances is Chrissy aloud in heaven.... she read the DaVinci Code..... " My husband just finished it too.... we all loved it!

Ps: My Church does not think we give enough either.... do not fret my pet, sometimes I think no matter what you give it is never enough... thank GOD it is not like that in all churches.

jacque i undertsand...my problem is i went to catholic school my whole life, i teach religion i volunteer, my mom volunteers and they dont even recogcnize us.....it is sad, and where i work, in a protestant christian school, i teach there on sunday as well, everyone hugs you, knows you and appreciates you. i went to get papers filled out to confirm my cousin a few weeks ago, mind you the church we married at, i baptised my little brother, we volunteer, they said your not in the computer, we have to hold this and talk to the head pastor......i faught i was int he computer, and they were so rude.....so the envelope thing came up and i said so we are just an envelope, rather then come to worship and pary to God! so thats my story, lol. had to vent off book topic. but this book is super interesting! totally enjoying it.

Chrissy: I HATE churches like that. We actually go to two churches... one Catholic and one Lutheran. They have pretty much the same worship styles... but when it comes to how you are treated... wow, it is totally different. Sorry you have to go though that, it sucks when you are not appreciated!!!
