Ok ladies... as you know this has been a CRAZY week here. Just yesterday my good friend Kimberly was released from the hospital.
On Mother's day she started having a terribly bad headache and soon after she lost her capability to speak. She was rushed to the ER and from there transfered to Peoria. It turned out that her Lupus triggered a migraine and the pain and swelling was so sever that her brain just started to shutdown.
She is on the road to recovery and soon will be 100% her speech is still slow and stuttered, but alot better then what it could have been. We were so scared that she had cancer or and aneurysm or something more serious, we were thankful that it had such a "quick" fix.
I would appreciate it if you could keep Kimberly and her family in your prayers over the next few days, I truly believe that the reason she is recovering so quickly is because of her faith and the prayers she has received so far. If we all keep her in our prayers then maybe she will be fully recovered by the end of the month.
Thanks!
Jacque

Torie: Thanks so much... no, I did not know your mom had Lupus also. The only people I know that have it are Mike's cousin and my friend Kimberly.... so how severe does your mom have it?

Well she has these light patches all over her body and most of the time she has very little energy, gets very severe headaches and her hair is really really thin...... She also has high blood pressure so she's dealing with that to.

High Blood pressure and lupus is an odd combination... your poor mom! Kim has the skin discoloration also, but it is not that noticeable. Does your mom get the butterfly rash? Jacque

It looks like she has little light butter flies all over her body.. some places are darken up but other are very noticable.... But she does so good with it.. If she didn't have those rashes you wouldn't even know she's sick cuz she very seldom gets really sick.... My sister and I are trying to find some affordable insurance for her cuz her job doesn't offer insurance and she doens't go to the doc like she needs to (only if she gets unbearably sick)....

Kimberly is back to 100%!!!! I am so excited!!! I saw her yesterday and she was back to herself, she even had her hair and makeup done... you can tell when she is not feeling well because her hair is just pulled back and there is NO makeup! lol I am so happy for her and for her family, thanks for all of your prayers!
Torie: I would contact your local Department of Human services and ask them about it. They will be able to point you and your mom in the right direction when it comes to affordable insurance. Normally then only deal with low income, but they should have the resources for people that are in need of inexpensive insurance that make to much money to qualify for help.
