Linda: I am so glad I did not offend by talking about Joshua. I am just so curious about him and all that happened while you were pregnant with him. A friend of mine had a still birth too ( I told you about her a LONG time ago) and needless to say, she NEVER wants to talk about him. It is almost like she just "forgot" him, and I just hate that. I know people grieve in different ways, but I wish she would celebrate the time she had with him. That is how I try to look at Trent, granted he came alot earlier then Kim's baby or even Joshua did. But I still held him, and it was still hard. I too wonder what like would be with him, and talk about him. But I do not dwell on the what might have been, my mind just occasionally wanders....... and thinks about what his personality would have been like or what he would have looked like if he was full term. I know is sounds depressing, but these thoughts are more happy thoughts then anything for me. It is just crazy thinking about how different my life would be if he was here. Don't get me wrong, my life is wonderful without him too... it is just that "what if" factor. Does that make sense??
Diane: Mike ended up not going into work too. They gave them the option. I think out of 150 people 3 of them made it into work. Mike tried, but it took so long to dig ourselves out. The final count is in, we got 13.5 inches. I saw on the news that I-80 was closed from Geneseo to Ottawa.... good thing I did not have any pregnancy complications or false alarms while it was so yucky! I would not have been able to get to my Dr!

I think I have a thumbsucker on my hands! She won't take a pacifier and this is what she's been doing the last week or so. Jaqcue - I feel the same way as you do about my loss. I don't dwell on Joshua and the loss of him, but if someone asks I'm more than happy to talk as much or as little as they let me about it.

Izzy is a thumbsucker!!!! I know it is a "horrible" habit, but you know.... it is sooo cute. Especially when they are so little, just like Izzy is now. The photo of her and daddy is just so adorable.

Hi girls, Linda- I went and checked out your site too. I love the Carribean photos! I want to go there so badly! The kids are adorable, as always! That Luke, he sure is an awesome bowler. Take it from me, my step-grandma owns the local bowling alley (has for over 50 years.) That is an AWESOME first score! I love the section about Joshua too. I think that is a wonderful way to remember him. He was and always will be a major part of you. All of our experiences shape who we are today, and I think it's great that you are remembering him in that way. Jacque, Yes, Yesenia had to have tubes also...twice! The first set at 11 months, and the second at 25 months. Poor baby! Abriyel isn't for sure doomed to them, but the chances are very high. However, I'm praying that we have no more trips to the Doctor at all this year, b/c she is perfectly healthy right now. Yeah! That is cool about the shelves in your kitchen. I was just stressing out about wrapping presents and coming out to find them all unwrapped, with a guilty looking Yesi smiling at us from under the tree. I guess we'll see... Jennifer, I love your maternity pics. Very pretty! You must be getting so excited. I remember when I was at about your point in my pregnancy with Yesenia. I was an emotional basketcase. At any mention of baby, or pregnancy, I would start bawling b/c I wanted my baby in my arms so badly. I'm so happy for you both. Get as much sleep as is humanly possible over the next 40 days, b/c soon it will be a thing of the past. Are you working right now?
Diane, Sounds like you ladies got a lot of snow! Wow, we got a little sprinkiling, and schools canceled all over the place. I think it's pathetic, but I love it b/c it means we get a day off. Actually though, our school district was the only one that didn't close this time.
Well, Abriyel is FINALLY crawling. She's been scooting around the house for like a month and a half, and taking a crawl step or two here and there, but today, she crawled all the way into the kitchen after her daddy! It was so cute, she had this smug little look on her face, like the little octopus on Nemo when she says, "OOO look at me, I'm gonna' touch the butt." She thought she was pretty awesome...mommy, daddy and sissy did too. She's also popped out her first top-row tooth...for a grand total of three teeth. I can't wait until I can post pics of her. We went Christmas shopping today, and had a blast! My mom, sister-in-law and I went completely kid-less and husband-less. It was awesome! We were crazy shoppin' fools, and we went to the Olive Garden and totally pigged out...one of my favorite past times. I got a lot of shopping done, and now I just need to wrap them all. I think I'm going to wait until closer to Christmas, b/c otherwishe, I"m afraid Yesenia might decide to have a little Xmas unwrapping party w/o my permission.
You know, I was thinking the other day that I don't think I've ever told you guys the proper pronunciation of my girls' names. I was thinking you might all be mispronouncing them in your heads. Just in case...Abriyel is pronounced like (Aubrey) (Elle) Sometimes people think it's pronounced with a long -a- at the front kind of like Gabriel (the boy's name.) I actually wanted to pronounce it that way at first, but my husband didn't like it that way, and started nicknaming her Aubrey, and I loved it so much that it stuck. We spell her nickname "Abri" b/c that's how it would be spelled in Spanish. Yesenia's name is the one that most people slaughter completely! It is actually very simple when you hear it pronounced correctly. It's like (Yes) (en) (ya) All of the vowel sounds are short. She's been called (Why) (sen) (ya)...and I'm like, "Do you really think I'd name my child that?" She's also called (Yes) (en) (EEEEEE) (uh) Isn't that AWFUL! That's why we just go with Yesi, (which by the way is pronounced like Jessie, but with a -y- sound at the beginning instead of a -j- sound. Okay, now that you all know way more than you ever wanted to about the pronunciation of my girls' names...enjoy the evening. Love, Alisha

OH MY GOSH THAT IS SO STINKIN, FLIPPIN' ADORABLE! You've TOTALLY got a thumbsucker on your hands girl. Yesi was a MAJOR thumbsucker, up until about 6 months ago when I finally got her to give it up during the day. She was only sucking at night b/c I told her that there was a thumb suckin' monster that would come put bumps on her thumb if she sucked it during the day. (SHe already had a bumpy rash from suckin it, so it worked wonders.) I told her that his momma made him go to sleep at night, so he couldn't see her then, and it was so cute b/c every night she'd say, "Momma, has the suckin' monster gone to sleep yet?" It was all fine and dandy till' about a week ago when I majorly screwed it all up like a big idiot! I wanted to put her 4 foot tall Mickey Mouse doll back in her room, (she's had it in Abri's room for about 6 months b/c one night her daddy made a "scary" voice (it really wasn't scary, but she thought so) with Micky, and ever since she refused to sleep with him. So anyways, she put him in jail in sissy's room, and I really wanted him out of there b/c Abri's room is so small. So, I told her that Micky wanted to come back to her big-girl room with her. Yesi was a little apprehensive about it, so I told her, "Well, he wants to come in here b/c he wants to protect you from the thumb suckin' monster. She said, "Oh, so Mickey is my friend now?" I said, "Yeah." And then you won't believe it...she said, "You know what that means momma?...I can suck my thumb again whenever I want b/c Micky will keep him away!!!" Can you believe her 3 1/2 year old mind is already working like that??? I was like,...what do I want more, Mickey in Yesi's room, or her to not suck her thumb??? Needless to say, she is now sucking her thumb when in Mickey's presence, day or night! Alisha

Linda - cute pic I never use pacis because I don't want to get up in the middle of the night to find it, so there hands are usually it, but Natalie really doesn't show any interest.
Jacque - I think it is normal to wonder what life would be like with your baby that passed on, even with my m/c at 11 weeks I sometimes think about that
Alsiha ;D on Abriyel crawling, and wow 3 teeth. How is everyone? I hope you all are having a good week so far.
Things here are pretty normal. Had alittle bit of a problem last night though. I called yesterday to schedule a doctor's appointment and since my Dr is on a different schedule I had to wait for him to call me and set up the appointment himself, instead of setting it up with the nurses station. So he called at 8:00 last night and told me that he is working a night shift rotation until Jan 3rd!!! That is 8 days before my EDD!!!! So needless to say, I had to call and get appointments with a new Dr this morning. I start my weekly appointments on Friday! I can't believe it is time for the weekly appointments already!!! The time is just flying by!
I have a few questions for you all. When did baby drop? After baby dropped was it alot more uncomfortable for you to sit and walk? Did you lose your mucous plug before or after you dropped?
Sorry so many questions!!! I think I may have dropped. It is the only thing I can think of that may be making me so much more uncomfortable! It really is so uncomfortable for me to even sit up! I feel like there is no room for her when I am sitting and it is harder for me to breathe when I am sitting.

Jennifer - yes I was more uncomfortable when I dropped - only dropped with Jacob. I dropped and still had to be induced. AF like cramps - could they be contrax? I never lost my MP Natalie slept all night - 9:30 until 8AM today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH, but when I took her temp it is now 102.3, if it hits 102.5 I need to take her to the doctors immediately. looks like we are close but that was without Tylonel all night
