Good Morning Ladies!!!! Sorry I haven't been posting it's been a little crazy around here. Sara is doing great and getting bigger by the day. Sara is starting to smile know and noticing her mommy and daddy it's such a great feeling . I will be starting work on Monday and Sara will be starting daycare too. I will miss her so much but I will only do this for a short time I hope. I'm hopping in a few months to find a job close to my house so I'm not that far away from Sara. I'm going to post some new pictures of Sara today. I'm so happy to hear that all the ladies that are expecting and adopting are doing great ;D ;D. I'm having so much fun being a mom and my husband being a dad. Kristina K

Kris - glad things are going well for you. Good luck going back to work, that was very hard for me, I hope your day goes better than mine. Then I made it thru the first day, then that night Jacob came down with Bronchilistis and I was out for another week, so had to do that dreaded 1st day again. but it was easier, since I worked a day then off a week, I decided it was a better choice to stay home, so gave 3 week notice and was done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I sale Avon for a little extra $$ each month, helps us save for the wants we want!

Here is the update from my appt today. I just copied it from my journal so I didnt have to re-type it all.
The appointment today was supposed to just be a quick check up, but it ended up lasting aboout 3 hours!!! We got to listen to the heartbeat for the first time, which we were both REALLY excited about!!! Dr. Ingram found it right away, but as soon as he started timing it to find the heart rate the little booger moved!!! It took about 5 minutes to find it again after that. But he found it, not that we were worried since we heart it right away. It was right at 150 bpm.
After we were done in the doctor's office, he sent us down to the lab to get the gestational diabetes test done. I am sure it isn't the greatest tasting stuff in the world....but I think it is 100 times worse on an empty stomach!!! The drink made me really nauseous and gave me a headache. So, I waited the hour to get the blood drawn. The lady that drew it missed my vein though and had to keep pulling the needle out and putting it back it. So now I have the most wonderful bruise on my arm!!!
After I did the test, we went back up to the office because we realized we didn't set up my next appointment. So, ew go up to the desk and tell the guy that we need to set up an appointment but I am going out of town for 5 weeks and my appointment will need to be during that time. He didn't know what to do so he paged my doctor to see what to do. We still don't have an appointment set up because Dr Ingram was going to find out what has to be done. He thinks maybe I will just have to go back in 2 weeks (before we leave town) then come back in right after we get back (about 5 weeks out) because he doesn't want me going another 7-8 weeks without being seen. He said he would call us by Tuesday and if he doesn't we need to call him and find out.

Jennifer - sorry for the long day at the doc's office. That diabete test drink is awful, I always had to fast before mine, couldn't drink/eat anything after midnight. then got my blood drawn around 9AM Then this time had to do the 3 hour test because I failed the 1 hour test, and that really made me feel bad. Your doc did that test early on you, I thought they do it around 20+ weeks?

Amanda: So, how are things going! I miss you tons, and now totally understand what you went though with Lexi. I have lost 10 pounds now, and if I lose much more my DR said he is going to have to step in. I did not wait to gain during pregnancy, but I did not think I was going to lose this much right off the bat! --- I need an update on how things are going. I saw you sent me an email, that is my next goal.... first was to catch up here, then my email, then the POST OFFICE!!! Linda: I know I have already told you, but I just adore those 3-D ultrasound pics. I am really thinking about having them done, they have a 3-D machine at our DR office, and you can choose to have one if you like. I think we are going to go for it. --- I also love the nursery, and think you did a great job taking Luke's old nursery set and making it just perfect for your daughter. She will only be in it for a short while, then she can choose if she wants pretty princesses or a flower theme for her room! Kris: I am glad things are going so well for you. I bet you are just an amazing mom. I cannot wait to see new photos, I know it is hard to get to the computer.... but post some! I wanna see how big little Sara is getting! Alisha: I posted to you on our other thread.... buy a damn computer! lol How is the Nutrisystem going? I miss you, you should go to the library today so you can check in. Diane: I thought they did the Glucose test around 20+ weeks also.... I remember I was at least 20 weeks when I had it done with Kailey, and it was awful..... maybe Jennifer's DR does it twice for some reason, wow that would really suck. Anyway, I cannot remember if I asked, but have you packed your bags yet? What all do you plan on bringing to the hospital with you? Jennifer: I am so glad that you and I can finally both post here as pregnant mommies! Just think.... I am almost done with my first trimester and you are almost to the half way point! How awesome is that!!!! Any movement from the baby yet? Still having that BOY feeling? ? Ok, I think that is everyone. I am going to hit the email while I have energy! Jacque

Hi ladies! I'm so sorry I have been MIA for so long, but everytime I sit down to the computer I get interrupted. Alex has been out of town for work this whole week (he'll be home on Sunday), so my parents took me and the girls to Lake Tahoe for 4 days. We stayed in a beautiful condo and me and the girls had our own bedroom and bathroom. It was right in the center of Squaw Valley Village so you could literally walk out of the condo to the shops and restaraunts. It was also Tahoe's summer music fest so they had concerts every night in the village. We coud just sit on our patio and listen to them, we didn't even have to attend the actual concert. It was really nice to get out of town for a few days.
Linda-Your 3d US pics are beautiful, and the nursery looks so cute! I love dolphins, I have one tattooed on my back!
Kris-Sorry you have to go back to work. It will be hard, but hopefully you'll be so busy you won't have time to think about Sara too much. I'm going back to work September 12th, and even though it's 6 more weeks away, I am dreading it. Especially since I don't have childcare figured out yet.
Jennifer-I always got sick from the glucose test also. It does seem a little early to have it done though, although I had one early with Abbie too because diabetes runs in my family, and my mom had gestational diabetes. Thank goodness everything was fine for me, hopefully it will be for you also and you won't have another test! By the way, I love your belly pics-what a cute idea!
Diane-how do you like selling Avon? I thought of becoming an Avon lady just so I could get their anti-aging stuff at a discount. What kind of discount is it?
Alisha-when are you going to get a computer girl? Are you having internet withdrawal? I probably couldn't function without the internet-I use it as my yellow pages, to pay bills, and hello! How great is Mapquest? Not to mention the online shopping, and Ebay, ooohhh I couldn't live without Ebay!
Hey that reminds me, Lexi has already outgrown her newborn size clothes (she still fits in 0-3 months size, but not for long, I'm sure), so I'm going to sell them on Ebay. Extra money in my PayPal account so I can buy more stuff-HA HA.
Gotta go-I hear Abbie running water in the bathroom upstairs-Lord knows what she is doing (besides trying to flood the place).

Diane ~ I wonder why I didn’t have to fast to do that GD test. Makes me wonder?! I am praying that I will pass this one and not have to take the 3 hour one. I am not counting on it though because diabetes runs in my family. My older sister is diabetic. I told Quentin that she was lucky that she didn’t have to drink that nasty stuff!!! I am not sure if that is why my doctor tested me already or if that is when they normally test for it. I swore he said something about 15 weeks. Hum?!

Hey I forgot to post to Jacque! I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble with morning sickness. I'm so glad it is all just a memory for me now. I recall literally feeling like I could not go on feeling so bad. You sound like you are staying upbeat though. That is so good cause the depression I went through was really difficult along with the physical symptoms. It was a hard time for Alex and Abbie too. How are Mike and Kailey dealing with it? The good news is that I feel great now!!! Hopefully you are nearing the end of your morning sickness.

Amanda: I know what you mean about the depression. Some days all I do is want to stay in bed and stare at the ceiling. It was really bad about two weeks ago, I spent so much time crying and thinking WHY ME!!!! I just kept telling myself that I am thankful for this baby, and I know that he will be a perfect addition to our family and that I am thankful for the chance to be pregnant again. I know that being so sick is making it hard for me to connect with baby, it seems like I spend so much time thinking about being sick that I hardly think about baby.... that is why I LOVE the fact that this is all slowing down, it helps me feel more normal. I just cannot wait until I can hear the heartbeat and feel the baby move. It is so very exciting, I think that waiting for my next DR's appointment is even worse then the TWW! lol -- Kailey is adjusting better then I thought she would, Mike has been fantastic.... he is doing everything that I can't or am to tired to do around the house. I don't know what I would do without his help-- I am glad you had such a great mini vacation with the girls and your parents, I LOVE live music, it would have been so nice to sit there and relax and listen. -- LOL on the ebay, I am on there alot, but I am so nervous to buy... Mike gets into it more and more everyday. I know that he will rope me in soon. Then I can be an official ebayer too! Did anyone wait until the end of the first trimester to have sex? If so, why? If not, did you wait at all... if so, how long?Jacque

nope, we have sex often throughout the whole pg, just now it is harder. I would say if you feel comfortable and in the mood (since you have m/s) I would do it, but if it hurts or bleeding I would tell my doc

Okay ladies...I need help!!! My sister's baby shower is in about 3 weeks and I have NO IDEA what to get her!!! She has been so sick throughout the whole pregnancy that she hasn't been able to register, except at one store. I've talked to her but she keeps telling me that she doesn't know what all she still needs. So I need ideas for some good things to get her. BTW....she is having a girl.
What were your favorite items?
What are some things you wouldn't have thought to get but ended up using a lot?

Jacque - we didn't wait until the 2nd trimester, but we didn't do it too much, I was a little nervous because of my m/c's, but I also didn't feel very good until like 14 weeks.
Jennifery - I didn't have to fast, but I failed the test and had to do the 3 hour. I am surprised at how early in the pg they are having you do it too, I think I had mine around 24 weeks?
