lol, well it takes time, put it this way we are in our house almost 7 years and still redoing rooms, but to our style and cleanliness, the people before us were filthy! but yes that is crazy but the price of inspection and appraisels, etc. then the joy of the morgages come and bills, and taxes, oh boy! but it is so worth it, we got to a point one day we found our landlords eating popcorn sitting in our apartment talking to our birds, we said we had to go! we always have crazy story! but thats when we knew we needed our own place!

Hi Girls!
Lissa - WOW the house looks great! I know it needs work doing to it but if you get it it will be so worth it! We also paid for an appraisal here (yes we do similar things here in England!) but ours was bout double what you guys are having to pay!!! Man England is very expensive! Hope you have a good day x x x
Chrissy - When we moved in our house last year we were fortunate enough to still have a week left in our rented home before we had to give the keys back. It was just as well because like you the people here before us were filthy, It took me the whole week to clean the house and as for the decor OMG!!!! x x x

Lissa - both boys are fine thanks hunny. Summer has finally arrived so Leon is making the most of playing out (school holidays at the moment), Lucas isn't as keen, he's geting a little grumpy when he is hot but he is sleeping a little more in the day which frees up some of my time. How is Stevie? What did he get for his birthday?
I know what you mean about cleaning, I am exactly the same! Rob is always going mad at me, he thinks I need to chill out with the amount of cleaning I do, but I don't want to be living in a dump!!! If only I lived near by I could have helped you clean the house! That would have been fun you could have heard how terrible I am at singing, I am always singing when cleaning up! x x x

Lucas spends almost all of the day smiling and laughing! I swear he melts my heart at least 10 times a day, he is just so content and happy ALMOST all of the time. He gets a little grumpy in the evenings about half an hour before bed, but hey so do I!!LOL!! He puts his hands out for objects and naturally everything he gets hold of goes straight to his mouth. He is almost rolling over but I swear he can't be bothered to put in that little bit of extra effort to actually do it! I think he will be a little chatterbox like Leon, he is always mumbling to himself and anyone that will listen. If you have been talking to him and then leave the room he gets very loud. I can't believe I am telling you about this stuff so soon, it feels like only a couple of weeks ago that I had him! x x x

HOLY COW!!!!! This is the first time I've been on the 'net since last week. Work is cutting too much into my social life now. Lissa - We had to pay for the security deposit, inspection, apraisal, and then the closing costs for the mortgage company. Luckily we negotiated with the mortgage company to put the inspection, apraisal, and closing costs into our mortgage. Your house looks awesome! I can't believe Stevie is already 4! Hunter will be 4 in 2 months and I can't believe that either! Nicola - Sounds like you're having fun with your little men! Chrissy - I can't believe you had the mega bitch over! I don't think I could let her in my house again. At least I definately would not be inviting her over. My in-laws were in town this weekend also. Diane - How many kids are you baby sitting now? Well, a LOT new is going on here but I just wanted to check in real quick. My posts are going to be even more spuratic lately due to my new responsibilities at work (not enough time to surf the net any more) but, I will check in when I can.

Wow, it's been sooooo long since I've been here!! So much has gone on.....First off, I just wanna appologize for falling off the face of the earth, I was so sick and miserable at the end there...it was horrible. And, lots was going on at the time (I'll explain later) But first, I wanna announce the arrival of Jayda Lynn McKay!! Her pic is in my sig....I have no idea how to downsizw the pics yet, I'm only just getting on the computer again now and haven't had the chance to play around.
So, origionally I was due April 18th, but at about 30 weeks he changed my edd to May 2nd. I'd had a couple u/s's and the last ones consistantly put her 2 weeks behind what she should have been weight wise, so just to be on the safe side, he changed the date. But, the whole time he didn't think I'd even make it to the first date due to ptl, and stress factors. She had dropped at 36 weeks (they also told me subsequent pg's don't usually drop till just before or even during labor) so he was sure she was on her way at any time. Turns out she went 2 weeks over. I'd probably still be pg today if I wasn't induced! But man, the induction process was horrible. She was born finally Tuesday May 16th at 1:34pm. The Wednseday before, I'd gone to ldr cause I was itching like mad, and NOTHING was helping. They told me it can sometimes happen at the end of pg, called my ob, gave me an antihistamine and sent me home. So, I went home at 11pm, went to sleep and woke up at 5am again, itchin like crazy. I had scratched so much some spots were bleeding, and my skin was lobster red in places. I told Chris I was going back to ldr after I took Keirah to school...they HAD to do something to help me. So I got to ldr, they hook up the moniter, and my ob comes in and tells me the only real cure is to deliver and asked if I would like to try inducing. Hmmmm....YES PLEASE!!! So, he did an internal and said I was starting to dilate a little on my own, so he was going to use the gel, and that should get me going. But, if for some strange reason it didn't, they would re-apply the gel the next day (Friday), and if all that didn't work we would take the weekend off, and come in for Pitocin on Monday. So, they put the gel in, and I layed there for the 45 mins after on the moniter, and they told me to walk around for a half hour and come back for another go on the moniter for 15 mins. They do this cycle 3 times. Well, by the second walk, I started to feel pressure and something leaking as I was walking. At first I thought maybe I lost some bladder control, but soon I was sure it was my water. When my ob came in after all the walking and monitering, he told me to go home and keep walking. I was having some fairly strong contraction, but they weren't at regular intervals yet. Come back in the morning for the second gel if I wasn't back already in labor. Well, we walked for hours, and the contractions kept up. Nothing impressive, but still there. So, we went to bed to get some rest, and I woke up again at about 4 am so itchy I could scream, and with barely any contractions. So, Chris and I went for a long walk before heading back to the hospital. All the while, I'm still leaking fluid in small spurts. We get to ldr, on the moniter, and when my ob hears I have a slow leak in my water he says no to the second gel. They don't want anything going there in case of infection...he won't even do an internal unless they really have to. So he told us to go home and keep walking, and if labor didn't start over the weekend, Monday was Pitocin day. BUT he was sure that he was gonna see me sometime over the weekend in labor. So, more walking all that day (Friday) and Saturday, till I noticed Saturday evening that the fluid was starting to smell. So, back to ldr we go. They call my ob and he says unless ther is a decrease in baby's movement, or I develop a fever or flu-ish symptoms come back Monday for Pitocin. So, Monday rolls around and we were pumped cause today was the day! We brought our bags and all that and got to ldr, hooked up to the monoiter and told that my ob had a bunch of meetings that morning, but he consulted one of the other ob's in the practice, and he would be up soon to see us. We were told to be there at 7:30 am. So, time goes by, lunch comes and goes, and dh and I are getting more and more mad as time passes. We ask the nurse what's up, and she says this other ob has been in surgery all morning, but will be there soon. Well, by 1:30 I'd had enough, and told the nurse I was done. She said he would be done in a half hour, and would come in to apply the gel. I said what?? Why is it alright all of a sudden today to have them insert the gel, when they wouldn't do the second one on Friday because they were worried about infection, and now that I had one they are willing to do the gel? I told her no way. I wasn't going to take the risk to Jayda. We were gonna leave. She begged me to stay, and I told her no, I would rather wallow in discomfort in my own home, where at least I was more comfortable, and if I had to, I'd wait to go naturally. They wanted me to sign a paper saying that I left ama and if anything happened they weren't at fault. Well, that did it.....I told here to take her paper and shove it up her a** and get a paper cut along the way. We walked out and I was crying I was so mad. We went home and both were so upset we were feeling sick to our stomachs. About 45 mins after we get home, my ob called appologizing profusely about the way things went....the other doc was just supposed to get the Pit going and look over the monitering. He told me to come back the next morning at 7:30 and for sure he would get things going. He was going to call the order into ldr right then to start the pit right away in the morning. So, once again we went into ldr, and sure enough, after the half hour moniter, they started the i.v. They started me out at a very small amount and increased it every 15 mins. My ob said that they go to a maximim of 190mg's (starting out at 6mg's) and let you stay at 190 for a couple hours. If nothing is happening they shut off the Pit for the night, and start again in the morning. If that didn't work, a c-section would be done. Well, things were moving along slowly, some small but kind of intense contractions here and there. We were allowed to walk a little, but had to come back every 15 mins so they could listen to her heartbeat for a few mins. At 12:15, my lunch tray came, and I was thinking about eating, but something told me not to....and 15 min's after that, I had what I like to call THE contraction. They came every 2-3 mins after that and were really painful and intense, but only lasted about 1 miniute. They don't put you in an actual labor room until a strong pattern of labor starts, so I was still in a moniter room. I had to get up and use the washroom, and asked the nurse if I could use the shower. (They told me it was still to early for the Demerol) By the time I got finished in the washroom I had a contraction where I felt like I had to push. She was like "Ok, well, your probably in transition, we'll check you and do the paperwork, and get you moved into a labor room after." She's slowly making her way around the room getting gloves and stuff, and finally she checks me. Her eyes kind of bulge and she says "Are you ready?" She buzzed the desk and called for a wheelchair and told the other nurse to get the closest room ready. I barely made it out of the chair and into the bed before I REALLY had to push, and the rest of my water broke. There was meconeium so they called down to nicu and respiratory. The contractions were soooo intense Chris asked them if I could have the Demerol, but they said no way, it's way to late for that now! So, they gave me the gas and that helped me get through the contractions and push. They told me that once her head was out, they'd tell me to stop so they could suction her before she could take her first breath. That was one of the hardest things I had to do cause I'm a git'r done kinda gal, but finally they let me do it and at 1:34 she was there. She was fine and didn't have to go to nicu at all. She was 8#7oz, 19.5 inches long.
It was a kind of bittersweet time, because my gramma had passed away on the 11th of April. She lived 3 hours away, and the whole 2 weeks from the time we found out she was sick to the time she passed, they told me I couldn't go see her cause I was going to have Jayda at anytime. All she wanted was to see me and Keirah one last time, and to see Jayda for the first and last time. So, that's why I was gone for so long. I was kinda heartbroken, and I felt physically horrible.
I'll be back soon (if not tonight, tomorrow) I gotta go make supper now, and I'll catch up with you gals then and do personals. Missed you gals lots!!!
